Starting today, Xbox Game Pass will be undergoing some changes that include redefining some tiers. And later in the year, there will be several price increases for different tiers. Here is the exact text that is presented on Microsoft website.
The fresh Xbox Game Pass Standard tier for fresh members will cost $15 per month and will not include access to Day One Editions, EA Play, Game Pass for PC, or cloud gaming.
The price of an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, which gives you access to all the perks not available with the Standard package, is increasing from $17 to $20 per month.
Xbox Game Pass Core, which offers online access and a much smaller library of curated games, is changing its annual price from $60 to $75. However, the $10 monthly price for that tier will remain unchanged.
The price of PC Game Pass is increasing from $10 to $12 per month, but that tier will still include day-one releases.
All price changes will take effect from September 12.
It’s always frustrating when prices change for services you already pay for. What do you think about this change? Do you plan to keep your subscription? Or is it time to cancel?
