Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn has gone gold, meaning it’s almost ready for release on July 18. Developer A44 (Ashen) also released the game’s PC specs and a 20-minute gameplay snippet.
The upcoming fantasy action game Souls-lite stars elite soldier Nor Vanek and her furry fox-like companion Enki, who seek revenge for the slaying of the gods of their world. She wields an arsenal of melee weapons, firearms, and magic that can be combined to create stylish combos. Nor Venek also has special abilities to traverse a world besieged by incensed deities.
The last time we saw Flintlock was during the Xbox Games Showcase a few weeks ago, but you can check out 20 minutes of modern gameplay footage in the video below. The synopsis, set later in the game, adds context to the footage: “Join Nor and Enki as they prepare to enter the deserts of Wanderer’s Rest to face the god Dukmar’s personal guard. An entire army is hunting Nie, and he will need all of his skills to reach his final destination – Sibyl City, where he hopes the gods’ true intentions will finally be revealed.
