Convallaria Col Sword Skills

Col has a powerful set of skills that make her one of the most powerful units in the game. While it’s demanding to make a “bad” choice, it’s worth unlocking some skills first before going back to add an extra Castalia or two to her ranked abilities.

Col’s passive encourages her to be played as a sneaky assassin – fitting, considering her nature. She gains the Jump ability, which triples her jump range, and if no allies are within two tiles of Col, she gains a 10% attack and critical rate buff. When Col attacks an enemy from the side or behind and defeats them, she can immediately re-act.

Colonel Rank 1 Skill: Ambush

  • Shadow Gait is fine, but early on in the game you’ll benefit a lot more from the Ambush ability. Ambush causes Col to deal 20 percent more damage when attacking undamaged enemies, and if he attacks from behind, he doesn’t deal any passive abilities to the target for one turn.

Colonel Rank 3 Skill: Attack

  • This rank is a bit tricky. Col benefits from both abilities, but Mask is more situational. If your Col stays out of harm’s way, his healing and debuff cleansing aren’t as useful, even with the fifth level of Critical Boost. Assault is always helpful though, and lets you trigger her passive more easily. It gives Col a first level of Critical Rate and Critical Damage Boost, and a second level of Movement Boost per turn, making it uncomplicated to get close to enemies and deal a lot of damage.

Rank 5 Skill: Incredible Footwork

  • Eerie Footwork is a must-have for Col. When she is vigorous and hit by a single-target attack, she teleports behind the attacker and deals a counterattack equal to 70 percent of her Attack. She also gains Evasion for a turn, allowing her to avoid one single-target attack. If Col is injured, she simply gains the Evasion effect.

Rank 7 Skill: Omen of Death

  • Omen of Death is our pick, with a huge asterisk. Get Perfect Assassin AND Omen of Death if you’re using other Alacrity characters. Omen of Death is the best choice if Col is in a mixed team, as it grants her a helpful passive ability called Feverish Beast whenever a character is defeated. Feverish Beast increases your lifesteal and critical strike rate by 15 percent for three turns, stacking up to five times, and Col restores two NRGs when she defeats an enemy.
  • Perfect Assassin is a leader aura that gives Alacrity characters immense buffs – 10 percent attack, 20 percent defense, and 15 percent critical hit rate and critical damage. This is hugebut also not very helpful if you don’t operate other Alacrity characters.

Colonel Rank 9 Skill: Critical Hit

  • Critical Strike, the primary attack replacement, gives Col a 15 percent critical strike rate buff before attacking, and then has her deal two counts of physical damage equal to 50 percent of her attack, each. Hidden Thorn is powerful, but situational, as you gain no benefit unless a nearby character has a supporting reaction.

Rank 11 Skill: Erasure

  • Col deals three instances of 60 percent physical damage to a single target, and if Col has no allies within two squares, he gains the ignore aid effect. He also gains evasion if he defeats his target. Traceless Shadow is basically just a slightly buffed Eerie Footwork, so you might as well get a skill that deals more damage.

Convallaria Col weapon sword

Col has a somewhat narrow selection of weapons, but the one that suits her best is the free Newborn Blade.

  • Newborn blade:This sword increases the HP of the character who equips it by three to five percent, and then gives them an attack boost equal to three percent of their total HP. It’s not fancy, but both boosts work well with Col.
  • Push of the Void: Void Stab is, as of Sword of Convallaria’s release, Col’s best weapon in the socket. It increases her critical hit rate by three percent and gives her the Void effect after using an ability. Void increases her critical damage by five percent and can stack six times, though it only lasts one turn.

Sword Convallaria Col Trinkets

Col makes good operate of a number of bits and pieces, both standard and exclusive to her Battle Pass, though in this case her setup needs to be managed carefully to maintain the buff’s effect. Maverick’s Coat is our top pick. When there are no allies within four tiles of Col, her Attack and Defense are increased by four percent and her Critical Hit Rate is increased by 10 percent.

Spring Pill mitigates potential healing issues if you don’t pick up Mask at level three, as her ability heals you for 20 percent of your maximum HP and removes debuffs. You can only operate it twice per battle, though. After that, it’s Flying Blade Hand Guard: Flying Blade Armguard is a solid choice for anyone who needs to deal more damage, and since Col benefits from taking down enemies, it certainly fits the bill. It gives the character an instant attack that deals piercing damage equal to 12 percent of the target’s HP, and since it’s an instant attack, Col can still operate his standard attacks as normal.

Sword Convallaria Col Tarot Whispers

The Judgment of Justice is the best Tarot Whisper Cola, thanks to its massive critical hit rate boost, and what’s better is that it offers that boost right away. You don’t have to meet any special criteria to activate it. It’s just always there. Assuming you can get Col to consistently defeat enemies, though, you might want to consider Tempting the DevilThe character who equips the item gains a stack of Devils when they defeat an enemy, with each stack increasing Attack and Defense by 3 percent, up to a total of 30 percent.
