Zenless Zone Zero does seem to be the ugly duckling of HoYoverse’s gacha trilogy, often losing out to behemoths Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail in the Sensor Tower revenue charts.
But for the game’s many millions of fans, it just means more and more rewards, and version 2.5 – released on December 30 – is a bit absurd when it comes to all the gifts.
To summarize as quickly as possible, you can register now to get some in-game goodies and 320 Polychrome, the most significant currency that allows you to attract characters.
But that’s just the beginning: logging in next week will guarantee another 480 polychromes, and then, since the game won a gold medal at the recent PlayStation Partner Awards, the developer will give away another 1,000 polychromes on January 1. This is all in addition to the ten free downloads that will be included in the novel update.
But that’s not all: the novel S-rank character, Zhao – who will be available throughout the novel banner along with Shunguang – will be free for All players.
And Jane Doe’s rather risque Nocturne of Light alternate outfit will also be free for everyone.
Furthermore, the novel Signal Search will raise the drop rate of the three previously released agents and their W engines, and your first S rank is guaranteed be a promoted character.
Then, any Monochrom you purchase with real money in the novel update will be converted into tickets, which can ultimately be redeemed for the next S-Rank Agent of your choice as an additional bonus. Available characters include: Jane and Burnice.
Elsewhere, five older characters will appear, including perennial favorite Ellen Joe Also you will receive combat upgrades that you can buy with novel currency earned during the game.
Oh, and in addition to continuing the main quest, the novel event will test co-op gameplay for the first time, allowing you to play alongside two other players in online multiplayer.
The developer is even introducing an improved version of Inter-Knot that allows you to team up with friends and send your friends commissions to complete in exchange for rewards.
