Developer 34BigThings has published a fresh blog with details on five of the 17 vehicles that will be available in Carmageddon: Rogue Shift. Each of these five cars has different attributes that change the way you handle the track and load your weapons. With each of them having such varied styles, there will be clear favorites depending on your playstyle.

The first car is the Eagle GT, which is considered a good all-around muscle car, and its best feature is its ease of driving. It also has armor and is heavier than most other vehicles in the game, making it useful in close combat with others. The Eagle GT’s starting weapon is a machine gun, which can be deadly to metal and flesh, but its effectiveness decreases as it moves away from the target. The initial advantage is Boost Refill, which allows you to start the race with a boost bottle and returns it if you are reset.

The first vehicle to unlock in Carmageddon: Rogue Shift is the Clunker. The Clunker is one of the more armored options available, with very high durability and defense, but at the expense of speed, so it won’t win outright. Instead, players using The Clunker should focus more on getting close to other players and eliminating them by punching them or using the shotgun. The Return of the Tank perk increases your damage the more you upgrade your Clunker’s defense.

Firecracker Turbo is a concern for gamers who value speed above all else. Acceleration is the most essential stat for this vehicle, followed by speed, meaning players can dominate in a straight line, but run the risk of falling out of the vehicle if they don’t maintain control. The Turbo Firecracker comes with rockets that will destroy anyone who passes by, while the Magic Number perk grants boost and ammo bonuses, but only on every 7th employ.

The SQR-NE55 is the most balanced vehicle in the lineup, a versatile vehicle with no standout stats, so it’s a car to choose once you’re confident in the game. While it doesn’t have exceptional stats, the SQR-NE55 has a laser cannon that can deal ponderous damage at any range. The vehicle is equipped with the Whale perk, which provides discounts on upgrades and free restocking, so you can add your own style to the SQR-NE55.

The Hawk GT is a vehicle that offers top speed, offensiveness and acceleration, but at the expense of handling, meaning all the power under the hood is useless if you can’t keep it on the track. The Hawk GT is armed with a high-caliber shotgun that is sluggish to employ but deals high damage to targets, and the vehicle is also equipped with the Meat Shield perk, which increases durability whenever an undead is defeated.

The pre-registration event takes place on the website Carmageddon: Rogue Change a website where players can unlock rewards for playing. Carmageddon: Rogue Shift will be released in early 2026 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series XS and Switch 2.
