Nintendo is thankfully not dropping amiibo support for the Switch 2, and now it matters because some of them top Zelda figures have quietly dropped to just $9.99 before Black Friday.
Sidon, Riju, Tulin, and Yunobo are all heavily discounted as Nintendo’s Black Friday sale kicks off today, and honestly, deals this aggressive usually disappear quickly.
Amazon dropped the price of Riju and Sidon to $9.99, while Best Buy matched that price Tulin and Yunobo. Street Fighter Amiibo are also on sale for Black Friday, sitting at $14.99 at Best Buyif this is also fascinating.
Supposedly, each of them was supposed to be marked down by $10 for Black Friday, so either sellers blinked or someone mispriced them. Either way, catch it all before the correction hits, because it won’t last long.
Each figure had a price tag of $29.99, so dropping it to $9.99 means you’re saving 66% and saving $20 on each amiibo. That’s even higher than mid-year sales, when it bottomed out at $14.99 to $19.99 on Amazon.
And if you’re wondering what they actually do in the game, all four Zelda figures unlock content in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Everything will also be compatible with the Animal Crossing 3.0 update in January 2026.
If you want a Zelda figure, tap any of them via NFC while playing Tears of the Kingdom and you’ll get exclusive paraglider fabric options, additional materials, and a weapon or sporadic item. Being part of the Zelda line also means they can unlock bonuses elsewhere. The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening includes the amiibo-exclusive Chamber Dungeons, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe offers a novel Mii racing suit.
If you play The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on Switch 2 with the upgrade pack, the game runs much smoother. The update increases the frame rate and resolution, addressing the only real drawback of the original: its performance.
