Update (July 9):Xbox on Monday announced The Xbox TV app has officially launched for Amazon Fire TV Stick owners.
June 27 Microsoft and Amazon announced cloud gaming partnership that lets users with select Amazon Fire TV Sticks play Xbox games without a console. Instead, users can download the Xbox app on their Fire TV device, sign in with their Microsoft account, and start playing immediately — all without needing an Xbox console.
If you don’t have an Amazon Fire TV Stick, you can be sure that it’s cheaper than an Xbox, although this setup does require some expense. For the whole thing to work, you’ll need to own or purchase Fire TV Stick 4K Max or Fire TV Stick 4K. You’ll also need an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, as well as a compatible Bluetooth controller (such as an Xbox Wireless Controller or Xbox Adaptive Controller, or a PlayStation DualSense or DualShock 4 controller).
There are currently several graphics-intensive games available on Game Pass, including: Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2and technology giants such as Star Field. The Amazon Fire TV Stick uses cloud streaming to let people play these games without having to run them directly from the console’s hardware. That brings us to the final thing you’ll need to get the most out of this: decent internet.
