Yes, Diablo 4’s major 2.0 Vessel of Hatred patch is coming to the PTR – more details next week

It’s pretty well-known that Diablo 4’s first post-launch evolution came with Season 4: Loot Reborn, which overhauled much of the game’s loot and item loops. The next evolution will come with the Vessel of Hatred expansion and its aptly named Patch 2.0.

Blizzard hasn’t explained exactly what changes Update 2.0 will bring to the game, but the developer recently confirmed what players have been expecting for a long time: a major change to the leveling curve is coming, and it may even take the form of a lower level cap.

The good news? We won’t have to wait too long to find out what happens.

Another Diablo 4 Campfire Chat gameplay livestream has been announced, and it will be dedicated to Update 2.0. This groundbreaking update will be getting its own Public Test Realm (PTR), marking the third time the game has hosted a test environment.

Blizzard remains coy about what to expect from the Patch 2.0 PTR, but it plans to reveal all the details on a livestream. The show is scheduled for Thursday, August 29 as usual 11:00 AM PST, 2:00 PM EST, 7:00 PM UK time time.

The show will be hosted by community leader Adam Fletcher, and guests will include lead live game designer Colin Finer, systems designer Aislyn Hall, game designer Charles Dunn, and game design expert Jeevun Sidhu.

This is actually the Season 6 PTR as well. Season 6 will launch right next to the launch of Vessel of Hatred on October 8, making it the next gigantic moment for Diablo 4. You can watch it on the official Diablo channels at YouTube, CrampAND Twitter.
