Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties add a novel Bad Boy Dragon mode

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and their English localization team are on a very good track with some newly revealed features and game modes for Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties. The newly broadcast game presentation showcased Kiwami 3’s Bad Boy Dragon mode and the spin-off Hell’s Arena in the Dark Ties.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 is a remake of the third game in the popular crime series, recreating the PS3 original with some modernizations and novel additions. As Kiryu must save the Morning Glory orphanage in Okinawa from those who want to force him and the children to leave their home, he will be able to jump into the novel Bad Boy Dragon mode.

Morning glory and the bad (boy) dragon? Ahem!

So what do you do at Bad Boy Dragon? Well, basically Kiryu joins and leads the Haisai Girls gang to domination. You’ll gather allies and train them until they can take on the most powerful gangs in the land, fight in turf wars for territory, engage in Baddies Battles in a tiny group of five, or go out for a 20-man Battle of Rumbles. You can also hop on motorcycles and attack enemy bases. There’s a ton of customization here, and it looks like it could be a lot of fun.

There is also Dark Ties, in which Yoshitaka Mine tries to strengthen its reputation and climb the rankings. It’s a fresh side story to the main story of Yakuza 3, but RGG has now revealed the Hell’s Arena underground fighting club for you to immerse yourself in. Your goal is to immerse yourself in hellish 1v1 brawls and threatening races to avoid hunters in treasure-filled dungeons in Survival Hell.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Dark Ties are scheduled for release on February 12, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
