XFX Brings Back SWFT 210 Cooler for Radeon 7800 XT GPU – XFX Speedster SWFT210 Radeon RX 7800 XT Core Edition with Dual Fan and Minimalist Cooling

Published:

XFX has released a novel version of the AMD Radeon 7800 XT graphics card – featuring the familiar dual-fan cooler design borrowed from the Speedster SWFT 210 cooler that we’ve seen on seven other XFX graphics cards, going back to the AMD RX 6000 series.

The XFX Speedster SWFT 210 Radeon RX 7800 XT Core (RX-78TSWFTFP) builds on the reliable XFX design that we last saw in the RX 7600 XT 16GB. So how does the XFX Speedster SWFT 210 RX 7800 XT differ from AMD’s reference design?

They are not at all different. The difference in the center core specifications between the designs is the longer XFX radiator design. The reference design is also dual-fan, but the fans are placed closer to the center of the XFX Speedster SWFT 210 radiator than the more spread-out dual fans in the reference design. The XFX Speedster SWFT 210 Radeon RX 7800 XT Core edition has a 2.5-slot design that is up to 11.1 inches (283 mm) long.

Most of the performance specs for this model and the other Radeon 7800 XTs should be the same — though the sleek design may appeal compared to the (generally) flashier approaches of other AIB partners. The graphics card features Navi 32 silicon with 60 CUs.

The XFX Speedster SWFT 210 Radeon RX 7800 XT Core’s clock speed mirrors AMD’s reference specs. The graphics card runs at a game clock of 2214MHz, but can boost to 2430MHz under ideal conditions. Meanwhile, the 16GB of GDDR6 memory runs at 19.5Gbps, and paired with a 256-bit memory interface, provides up to 624GBps of memory bandwidth.

The graphics card comes with two 8-pin PCIe power connectors. XFX recommends a power supply of at least 700W for the graphics card. Meanwhile, display outputs include three DisplayPort 2.1 outputs and one HDMI 2.1 port.

At the time of writing, the XFX Speedster SWFT 210 RX 7800 XT is listed on Newegg with a suggested retail price of $489.99. However, it is out of stock. The AMD graphics card has not yet been listed on Amazon.

The XFX Speedster SWFT 210 Radeon RX 7800 XT Core is priced in line with other RX 7800 XT models. If your case has room for a triple-fan cooler, the XFX Speedster QICK319 RX 7800 XT is currently available for even less, at just 449 dollars on Amazon, making it the cheapest RX 7800 XT. The SWFT 210 RX 7800 XT will remain a better option for those who can’t fit a triple GPU fan in their case, especially many SFF/Mini ITX PC users.
