Published:

Hello, Rovers. I’m glad to see you again. This time I will guide you through the latest updates Windy waves Version 2.8. In version 2.8 of To the City Set in Amber, scheduled for release on November 20, Rover will be joined by Resonator’s fresh companion, Chisa, on a journey to the enigmatic fallen city, the Chronift metropolis of Honami. There are a lot of abnormal frequencies there, and the time loop is waiting for someone to break it out. Expect fresh stories, characters, locations, optimizations, and more content.

New Main Quest: Enter the Fallen City in the Looping Honami Crisis

After the end of the Rinascita arc, the Rover returned to Black Shores and learned that it had unexpectedly intercepted a completely fresh frequency. Upon further investigation, the Black Shores discovered a rift leading to the unknown Sonoro Sphere. The rover will enter the mysterious metropolis of Chronorif through the Sonoro entrance.

The metropolis of Chronorif was once a prospering trading hub, formerly known as Honami City. However, several decades ago, it was destroyed by the Lament and permanently sealed in the Sonoro Sphere, eventually becoming what we see today. Once bustling skyscrapers are now overgrown with brush. Seawater flooded the lowlands and roads. But the Lamentation that brought ruin to this city never truly disappeared. It still lingers in the city, sometimes causing unstable anomalies.

The recurring Lament trapped the city in a time loop, repeatedly resetting and destroying it. The people you see moving around are not the people they once were. They are now known as the Leftovers – phantoms who repeat the habits of their previous lives, reliving the same daily routine. The entire city and the Remnants are trapped in the Sonoro Sphere, completely cut off from the outside world. This unexpected arrival of Rover brings changes to this confined space.

In version 2.8, the Main Quests, Chapter II, Act XII, Stagnant Dawn in the Wasteland, and the Main Quests, Chapter II, Act XII, Flowing Starlight in the Iris, will become available on November 20. In this iridescent metropolis of the end of days, break the Lament that consumes the city.

New resonators: Chisa and Buling

Long black hair, striking red eyes and a bold, basic uniform – the mysterious, scientific student Chisa will debut in version 2.8 and discover the secrets hidden beneath Honami with Rover. Chisa’s forte is haircutting. Although she came to Honami by accident, with her placid, solemn nature and exceptional learning abilities, she quickly acclimatized here and thanks to her Forte found a unthreatening haven in this fallen city.

Those giant scissors that Chisa wields look hefty, but she handles them with ease. Chisa was born into a family of tailors, so she could change her form to suit her needs in different situations. He uses them not only to cut out his favorite shapes from paper, but also as handy and versatile tools.

Chisa is a 5-star Havoc Resonator who wields a Broadblade as a weapon. During battle, Chisa swings her massive scissors in precise geometric trajectories, with crimson streaks flashing at the edges, pinpointing her enemy’s weaknesses with a placid, calculating grace. Under certain conditions, she can transform her scissors into a high-damage chainsaw, allowing her to perform speedy and devastating finishing attacks. When Chisa activates a specific skill, her red scissors display a translucent giant specter. It moves backwards for a moment, then moves forward, cutting through enemies. After releasing the Resonance skill, a unique vision appears in Chisa’s eyes, marking all enemies within range. He then uses the winch on his scissors to pull some marked targets closer to perform a slashing attack.

Each of her attacks increases her Forte Gauge. Once full, Chisa can unleash her Resonance Skill and transform her weapon. She decisively steps onto the winch, and as obscure red particles fly out, the scissors switch to chainsaw mode. Chisa then uses the chainsaw to make a series of quick and relentless cuts. When Chisa casts Resonance Release, her eyes glow dazzling purple, revealing the feeble points of everything in front of her. He raises his giant scissors and deals a rending blow to his enemies while healing his allies.

This adolescent Taoist Buling from Huanglong, Mengzhou has a fashionable appearance and specializes in talisman fortune telling, divination and other mystical arts. As an independent traveler and Black Shores consultant who roams the world, Buling’s outgoing and cheerful personality brings friends and information to Black Shores wherever she goes. Buling wears some sort of headphones that are directly related to her Forte. Her ears are extremely sensitive to frequencies that have not taken shape, so she often hears sounds that others cannot hear. This special headset he wears helps filter out some of the noise. He can also operate his Force to sense potential danger nearby.

Buling is an Electroresonator whose weapon is a rectifier. Her fighting style is fluid and lively. During the battle, the talisman he pulls from the coffin seems ordinary, but there is method to his madness. The copper coins he throws are truly devastating, and the distinctly ringing magic bell can lock enemies into formation. When Buling lands various attacks, two types of Trigrams form around her, and she can collect up to four Trigrams.

By consuming two Trigrams, he can unleash various enhanced attacks and escalate his Forte Gauge. When Buling unleashes his Resonance Skill, he moves as speedy as lightning, forming a formation around his enemies and summoning thunder to strike them. The distinct sound of her magical bell attracts enemies to the center of her formation. When her Forte Gauge is full, Buling can unleash a Resonance Release by casting a thunder spell and throwing a copper coin that shoots like lightning, damaging enemies. At the same time, the formation expands the internal sounds of the magic bell, immobilizing enemies and constantly damaging them.

New Area: Chronorift Metropolis, Honami City

Version 2.8 introduces a fresh area, Chronorift Metropolis – Honami City. In this abandoned city, Chiasa used her Resonance Ability and carved out this unthreatening space – a cafe located at Honami Crossing, as a secret base – protecting it from the influence of the Lament. This café is not only a unthreatening haven for Rover and Chisa to catch their breath. It is also a transport hub connecting other parts of the city. In version 2.8, Rover will set off from here with Chisa, go to more places worth discovering and experience the history of the city with his own eyes.

In this city, you will see not only the iridescent blue sky and gravity-defying skyscrapers, but also the mysterious tower rising in the city center – the Neon Tower.

As you walk with Chisa, a gentle breeze blows and pink petals float across the sky like clouds. You will encounter views that heal and give hope. With the release of version 2.8, get ready to explore the beauty of this fallen city.

New optimizations: One-click absorption of all absorbable echoes and automatic supplements

In addition to fresh content, this update also introduces several QoL optimizations. Firstly, we have added the function of absorbing all absorbable echoes in one click. Once upgraded, with just one absorb action, you can absorb all Echoes in a specific area. Rovers will no longer have to swallow them one by one. Compared to normal world exploration, the absorption radius inside the Nightmare Nest will be slightly larger, allowing Rovers to collect all daily Echoes in one go.

After the 2.8 update, the Resonator Ascension, Weapon Ascension, and Skill Upgrade menus will receive a fresh auto-fill feature. If the required upgrade materials are insufficient, clicking this button will open the auto-refill screen where you can directly see what materials you need and take advantage of synthesis, conversion or supply packages – all without having to switch to other menus, making it much faster to replenish everything you need.

Additionally, if low rarity materials are not sufficient during Synthesis, the system will automatically search for lower rarity materials and supply packs and automatically replenish the list until the requirements are met. If the Synthesis, Conversion and Procurement packages still do not provide enough materials, a shortcut button will appear that will take you directly to where to obtain them.
