The world is due for another Wuthering Waves update, and luckily for all of us, we won’t have to wait much longer. Wuthering Waves version 1.2 will be released worldwide on August 15th, bringing with it fresh characters, events, and even a dancing turtle.
This announcement takes the form: a spectacular fresh gameplay trailerwhich wraps all the fresh content in a nice visual package. The stars of this update are of course the two fresh playable characters. They are Zhe Zhi and Xiangli Yao, both of whom will be obtainable in-game with this update.

These characters come equipped with the weapons you’d expect, including the Rime-Dripped Sprouts rectifiers and Verity’s Handle gauntlets. Since both are five-star weapons, you’ll have to be pretty lucky to get them in addition to the fresh five-star characters. Either that, or get ready to empty your wallet.
This update also includes fresh story content, as well as a limited-time event called By Moon’s Grace, where you support build an ongoing festival. There’s also a seven-day login event, as well as several combat events you can complete to earn additional rewards.
All in all, it’s an thrilling fresh update for the gacha that’s continued to grow at a solid pace since its launch earlier this year. Whether the game can maintain its momentum, especially after some of the more arduous technical challenges it faced early on, is something we’ll want to keep an eye on as it progresses.
