World of Warcraft Pre-Patch Event Pits the Evil Knife Wife Against Our Wizard Dad

Let me explain. A long time ago, Legion expansion in 2016, Khadgar called players to Dalaran. Khadgar goes way back; he was in the original RTS games but disappeared during Warcraft 2We found him again in the city of Shattrath during Burning Crusadeand around Lords of Draenorhe really tried strenuous.

Until then Legion arrived, everyone loved Khadgar, known as Dadgar, for his good nature and goofy jokes. Sure, he’s a super-powerful mage and the hero of all the great wars of Azeroth. But he also tracks down the hero to call on Skype by sending his own head floating in a ball.

The opening act of the expansion was well-received, with Khadgar calling players back to Dalaran, the city of mages and popular hub for the Alliance and Horde in Wrath of the Lich King. The Legion has returned, and players need to find powerful Artifact Weapons. Among them was Xal’atath, the Shadow Priest Artifact. This eyed knife proved to be more than a humble stabbing tool; it is clearly connected to the Old Gods and their old Black Empire, and all are equally ambitious.

Xal’atath was also suspiciously pleased, for a knife. She escaped that ship as part of some larger plan, and that leads to large problems. Xal’atath now haunts the body of a Void Elf and strengthens the old spider kingdom.

Blizzard also shared a six-second clip of the animated project with the caption “Coming Soon™.” The video ends with the words Internal warso we’ll see how well the teaser — featuring elves battling the Horde — showcases the final product.

Regardless, a pre-patch event certainly spells trouble. We’ll see how this clash pans out in the run-up to Internal warpremiere on August 26.
