Will PlayStation’s State of Play Show More Than Just PS4 Remasters for PS5? Watch Here to Find Out

Published:

Next PlayStation State of the game is upon us. Sony has officially confirmed the date and time of its next show. We’ve been anticipating the September event for some time now, and you will be able to watch it here.

This will be the first State of Play event following the recent reveal of the PlayStation 5 Pro, whose $700 price tag and lack of any upcoming releases that would take advantage of the upgraded hardware left most of us scratching our heads (though some will still buy the console).

Sony confirmed in blog post that the September state of play will be starts on September 24th at 11pm UK time, which is 3pm PST, 6pm EST and 12am CET. You will be able to watch it on the official PlayStation CrampAND YouTube channels. We’ll add a link to the live stream right above this text as soon as we notice it’s live, so all you have to do once it’s live is click “play” and boom, video games.

Sony says the stream will be over 30 minutes long and will feature “news and updates on over 20 upcoming PS5 and PS VR2 games from studios around the world.”

Thanks to recent leaks, we now know a few announcements we can expect during State of Play this month. First up, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered was recently rated by the ESRB, meaning it’s almost certain to be among the show’s announcements. Another PS4 remaster is also rumored to be in the lineup.

According to several reports (and hints on social media), Sony is gearing up to announce a Days Gone remaster, also for PS5. We don’t know anything about the two games beyond their existence, but it’s secure to assume that PlayStation’s suite of accessibility features will be present in both games, not to mention a few other graphical and performance improvements.
