Where to get candy in 99 Nights in the Woods

Published:

Candy Canes are not only a sweet holiday treat, but also the main currency of the 99 Nights in the Forest holiday event, so here’s how to get as many of them as possible.

It’s Christmas time in 99 Nights in the Forest, turning the deep, murky forests into a frozen winter wonderland full of snow. However, even though Santa’s magical elves do their best to bring joy to the forest by leaving giant gifts for you to find, it is still as risky as ever, both during the day and during the long nights.

How to get Candy Canes in 99 Nights in the Woods

The two main ways to get candy canes in 99 Nights in the Woods are:

  • Save Santa’s elves by collecting coins, purchasing special equipment and rescuing them when they appear on the map
  • Purchase the Santa’s Helper event class in the Elf Shop, which increases the amount of Candy Canes you earn in regular play

To save Santa’s Elves, you must first collect gold coins by defeating Cultists or combing the map. You can then purchase specialized equipment from the huge gift bag next to the bonfire.

To save the elves on the frozen lake, you need ice skates. To save the elves buried in the snow, you need a shovel. Finally, to save the elves hanging from the tree, you need a Christmas ladder.

The ladder is single-use and remember to build it on the right side of the tree, otherwise you won’t be able to reach the Elf!

Rewards for 99 nights in the forest in the form of candy

Once you have collected all the candy you need, return to the in-game lobby to spend it in the Elf Shop.

If you plan on playing a lot during the event, it’s worth investing in the Santa’s Helper class. However, if your game time is restricted, you may be better off just saving up for the items you want.
