One of the first obstacles to progress Knights: Endfield there is a demand for Amethyst components, a resource that is exactly obvious to find, as are some of the others. If you are having trouble obtaining this resource, you can find it here.
How to get Amethyst components in the Arknights: EndField beta
Amethyst components are necessary for crafting equipment in Arknights: Endfield. Without them, your characters will remain defenseless and unprepared for battle. Despite fairly early access to amethyst crystals, you probably won’t notice any obvious method of crafting specific amethyst components, even using a refiner or scrap metal. Finally, refining amethyst creates amethyst fiber, and grinding creates amethyst powder; this is not what you need.
In my experience, the best way to get Amethyst components is simply plunder the whole world. Break every crate and open every crate. I have found this material to be quite common wooden cratesespecially in Valley Pass area, the second main one in the game.
Once you’ve made enough progress in the game, you can start crafting amethyst components using Gear unit. This is a special building, similar to the Refiner and Shredder, that you can operate to craft this material. But first it has to be this way examinedand the “recipe” must be discovered by participating VR simulator next to yours AIC core area.

In this mode, you will be given basic information on how to operate the Gear before you can operate it in your base. If you can’t access it yet, develop yours Main story until you get access to Electric mining drill rig.
After playing Gearing Unit, you will need the following materials to craft one amethyst component.
- 5 x Origoshell
- 5 x Amethyst Fiber
Place the above materials into a gear and you’ll be able to produce amethyst components in no time.
Creating equipment using Amethyst components
Once you unlock this feature, you can craft gear by navigating to any PAC structure (including child PACs) and selecting Gear mounting option.

All but the lowest level tools require the crafting of Amethyst components, so you’ll need plenty of them if you plan on upgrading your characters.
