What is Refined Iron Sand in Black Myth: Wukong?
Refined iron sand is one of many resources needed for create epic and legendary weaponswhich have several extremely powerful effects and high stats. Different weapons and upgrades will require different amounts of Refined Iron Sand and may need to be mixed with other ultra infrequent crafting items. Legendary Spikeshaft Stafffor example (shown above), only requires four of the extremely infrequent Golden Tree Cores from Chapter Four, and in addition, it needs eight Refined Iron Sands.
As you progress through Chapter 3, you will find more and more refined iron sand until eventually you will have so much of it that you will no longer have any upgrades to spend it on – similar to silkwhich is a infrequent armor resource in Chapter 2.
Where to find refined iron sand in Black Myth: Wukong
Refined Ironsand is very infrequent – if not impossible to obtain – in the first two chapters of the game, and you only really start to encounter it in Chapter 3, after reaching New West. When you first encounter it, you’ll be able to randomly obtain the resource by killing certain enemies. Resources like refined iron sand are eventually quite plentiful, but there aren’t many guaranteed sources. Some of the powerful enemies in the final area of the chapter, New Temple of Thunderhave a decent chance of getting refined iron sand lumps.
If you are in urgent need of Purified Iron Sand, you can buy it from the shrines in Chapter 3 or Zodiac Village in Ruyi Scroll. Shops don’t have many epic resources like Refined Iron Sand, and they are very pricey, costing a whopping 1200 Will per block. One way to get a guaranteed drop of Refined Iron Sand is to kill the final boss of Chapter 3, but of course you can only do that once.
Like all other resources in Black Myth: Wukong, you will be able to continue earning refined iron sand once you reach chapter 4.
