Oni masks are a novel addition to Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, with different masks giving different abilities depending on the type of mask you have. At the time of writing, there are two types of masks Fortnite: : Fire AND Vacuum.

Where to find Oni masks in Fortnite
Oni masks can be found in several places in the world Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, depending on the rarity you are looking for.
Epic (purple) quality masks can be found in chests. You’re more likely to find them in fancy, elemental chests scattered around the map that look similar to the one below:
The Mythic (airy yellow) rarity masks can only be obtained from bosses (or eliminating a player who has defeated the boss and is wearing a mask). Night Rose drops a mythic version of the Void Oni Mask, and Shogun X drops a mythic version of the Fire Oni Mask.
You can find Night Rose in the Demon Dojo noted below but Shogun X teleports randomly around the map until the Shogun Arena appears on the map. He will be marked on the map with his medallion, which will make it easier to find him.
What are the Oni masks for in Fortnite?
The Fire Oni Mask allows you to shoot fireballs which deal 100 damage each in a miniature area. You can do this eight times for an epic mask and 16 times for a mythic mask.
The Void Oni Mask allows you to shoot miniature voids forward and then teleport to these explosions. You can do this 15 times with the Epic Mask and 50 times with the Mythic Mask.
