When human gamers say no to violence, opting instead to build pretty homes

Published:

Once upon a time, Human players had a blast exploring the game, engaging in tense combat, and pushing the open-world survival game to its limits. However, there is another subset of players who spend their time building pretty homes to call their own.

An example is Reddit user SykoManiax, who posted their work on Reddit Once Human for the community to view. A lush two-story home built on a gorgeous wood foundation. It even has a nice little suburban picket fence around it, allowing them to gaze out at the neighboring river at will.

And they are not alone! A user tagged as Survivor posted his own house – this time with three floors and a balcony – to the community center. It even has a petite shed on the right side and pretty porch lights on the front. It’s clear that this user has spent a lot of time on their home, more than their own clothes.

Building these types of homes takes a lot of work! As a survival game, these endeavors require a lot of resource gathering and careful construction. Many players – myself included – will be cheerful with a immense hut with all the necessary tools and equipment within reach. However, those who want to keep the aesthetics up for friends who hope to come into their world to check it out can flex their inventive muscles. This is critical for those with such a desire! While these are not time-honored MMOs, games with a immense online player base place a lot of emphasis on looking better than their peers.

Are you one of those players? Let us know below, and also how much time you spent on beautifying your Once Human home!
