Honkai: Star RailwayThere will be a modern update 2.3 coming soon which will bring modern characters and story. We will see modern five-star characters Firefly and Jade, as well as Ruan Mei and Argenti, who will return during the update. Version 2.3 also includes a modern story, modern relics, and modern events for you to work on over the next six weeks.

What time does Honkai: Star Rail close for maintenance?
Honkai: Star Railway will be turned off for maintenance June 18 or 19 (depending on your time zone) at the following times and will be unavailable for approximately five hours:
- June 18 at 3:00 PM PDT for the west coast of North America
- June 18 at 6 p.m. EDT for the east coast of North America
- June 18 at 11pm BST for Great Britain
- June 19 at 12:00 CEST for Western Europe/Paris
- June 19 at 7:00 a.m. JST for Japan/Tokyo
- June 19 at 8am AEST for Australia/Sydney
If you want, remember to burn the fuel before starting maintenance.
What time does Honkai: Star Rail version 2.3 start?
Honkai: Star Railway should return from maintenance with version 2.3 at the following times:
- June 18 at 8 p.m. PDT for the west coast of North America
- June 18 at 11 p.m. EDT for the east coast of North America
- June 19 at 4am BST for Great Britain
- June 19 at 5 a.m. CEST for Western Europe/Paris
- June 19 at 12:00 JST for Japan/Tokyo
- June 19 at 1pm AEST for Australia/Sydney
Servers may come online earlier or later depending on maintenance, but these times are approximate Honkai: Star Railway should go live. Typically, Hoyoverse does a pretty good job of keeping up with maintenance schedules. We don’t usually get extended maintenance, but sometimes it ends early!
What’s modern in Honkai: Star Rail version 2.3?
In version 2.3 we say goodbye to Penacona and that’s where the whole story ends. (No doubt we will return to watch another story or event in the future, just as we often do in Xianzhou Luofu). We’ll see Firefly and Jade, but it also helps to give a nod to Sparkle’s backstory, which never really came to the right conclusion in the last patch.
Honkai: Star Railway version 2.3 also includes a modern version of the Simulated Universe, called Divergent Universe, which will be permanently added to the game. Additionally, a modern, free, five-star Erudition airy cone will be added to Herta’s store. This modern version will allow you to earn Planar Ornaments faster by going straight to the boss and getting the relics instead of fighting through several levels first.
There will also be a modern end-game mode called Apocalyptic Shadow, which will allow you to get Jade Feathers and other good loot, as well as modern relic sets to equip your characters.
Of course, there will be several events throughout the six-week patch, including some that will let you choose a free four-star character from Gallagher, Hanya, Luka, or Arlan.
