Genshin Strike will come down for maintenance Tuesday, December 31 or Wednesday, January 1 (depending on your time zone) during the following hours and will be unavailable for approximately five hours:
If you want, be sure to burn the resin before starting maintenance, but remember that the modern battle pass will start after the modern version launches, so you may want to hold off on some of your weekly releases.
What time does Genshin Impact 5.3 start?
Genshin Strike should return from maintenance with version 5.3 at the following times:
Servers may go live earlier or later depending on maintenance progress, but these are approximate times when 5.3 should go live. Typically, Hoyoverse does a pretty good job of keeping up with maintenance schedules. We don’t usually get extended maintenance, but sometimes it ends early!
What’s modern in Genshin Impact version 5.3?
Version 5.3 will include two long-awaited 5-star characters: Pyro Archon, Mavuika (Pyro claymore user) and Citlali (Cyro catalyst user). Lan Yan, a 4-star Anemo Catalyst user, will also debut in version 5.3. Additionally, we will return to Liyue to celebrate Lantern Rite again, this time with skins for Xiangling and Hu Tao. Of course, this means there are tons of mini-games you can play to earn premium currency and other materials.
This patch should also conclude the Natlan story mission, but considering both the Lantern Rite and Natlan missions, 5.3 will be quite a vast patch.
