Below we explain when Genshin Influence maintenance starts and ends, along with the release time of version 5.0. We’ve also added some details about what to expect Genshin Influence patch 5.0.
What time is Genshin Impact maintenance?
Genshin Influence will be down for maintenance Tuesday, August 27 or Wednesday, August 28 (depending on time zone) at the following times and will be unavailable for approximately five hours:

What time does Genshin Impact 5.0 start?
Genshin Influence should return from maintenance with version 5.0 on the following dates:
The servers may come up earlier or later depending on how maintenance goes, but these are the approximate times that 5.0 should go live. Hoyoverse is usually pretty good about keeping up with maintenance hours. We don’t usually have extended maintenance, but it ends early in most cases, ending up to an hour earlier than the estimated end time.
What’s novel in Genshin Impact 5.0?
This update is a massive one. So massive, in fact, that we highly recommend pre-loading the game via its update now if you want to dive into Natlan as soon as it drops. You can do so via the Hoyoverse launcher on PC and the App Store on iOS. For Android devices, you can simply open the game and follow the on-screen instructions, while for PlayStation 4 and 5, you can press the Options button and click “check for updates.”
Version 5.0 will have a ton of content, including the brand novel Natlan region and novel Archon quests that come with it. Three novel characters from the Natlan line will also have their time in the gacha banner: Kachina (Geo), Kinich (Dendro), and Mualani (Hydro).
Players will also be able to claim a free five-star character from the standard banner for the first time. So if you are missing any of the standard characters (Dehya, Keqing, Mona, Qiqi, Jean, Tighnari, or DilucZ) or just want to build constellations, you should log in before October 8 to claim this special reward.
