Hey guys, thanks a lot for reading this first, probably one of the most essential, posts. I’m Art from TONMinutes, a up-to-date Play2Earn NFT series.
Let me introduce you to the details of TONMinutes and tell you about our history.
We are a group of 2 developers who operate in the hypercasual scene. Due to our work, we of course monitor the development of the gaming industry very closely. Each of us is also interested in blockchain and its possibilities, so from time to time we came across Play2Earn games. Of course, only for research purposes, as it should be for sensible developers, of course we played some of these games.
We noticed that many games were more basic, no-frills games, just existing concepts that were relatively soullessly adapted to the blockchain in order to introduce a game token that was as uncomplicated to implement in the marketplace as the game itself. At this point, I’m sure some of the games have already crossed your mind. Yes, that’s the exact game we’re talking about right now.
Of course there are also the jewelry pieces, my personal favorite is Gods Unchained. The game is far from finished and still has its quirks, but as a Hearthstone fan from the beginning, I had a great time. Rabid tongues will wag that this is just a copy of a known game implemented on the blockchain. I’ll just say, yes, sure, but it was done well and is just plain nippy! The collectibility is satisfying thanks to the combination of NFT creation with different levels of materials, which is not something you can say about other card games. Hats off to Gods Unchained for that.
Of course we have come across other giants like “Axie Infinity”. Axie is really very clever, the idea of NFT is very well used here. This has led to many people starting their own versions of the same system, but let’s stick to Axie.
The farming is fun and has some tension, and of course some tactics are required here too. The game itself is not the best in my opinion. There is a huge community around it, with scholarships and all, but it is quite monotonous. The guys are still doing it well, as the entry of Samsung Next shows.
In all the games we came across, one thing in particular irritated us, either the investment was way too high or it just took an incredibly long time to get a few pennies. Play2Earn sounds more like a promise that wasn’t kept. In games where you can actually make money, like Axie Infinity, getting in is simply impossible for many players.
This is where we come in. We wanted to solve the problem of long, monotonous play times for relatively little return and the problem of high entry costs to actually make money.
This is how TONMinutes was born!
TONMinutes is not a single game, but a series of games where the goal is to achieve the highest score possible in 10 minutes. But let’s start from the beginning:
First of all, in order to participate in a gaming session, a player must create an NFT.
The price is $45, which is the average price you would pay for a up-to-date game. Of course, we also distribute tickets through contests or giveaways, which you can learn more about in upcoming posts. By the way, there is currently a contest for Game Session #1, which you can participate in here: Competition
Once the minting event ends, the game event begins. You have 24 hours to start your own game session and set the highest score within 10 minutes. We will reveal the game shortly before the start of each session. In most cases, it will be an endless game that is no more tough than Flappy Bird. You can restart the game as often as you want within 10 minutes and beat your own high score. The highest score is entered into the leaderboard along with your wallet address and NFT token ID. Depending on your position in the leaderboard, you will receive a profit, which will vary depending on the session.
Pretty uncomplicated, right?
But let’s move on to the more captivating part, which is numbers.
Let’s take the example of the first session, which can have a maximum of 10,000 players. As I said, the ticket will cost around $45, where we will be using TON as the currency because we will be launching our NFTs on TON (The Open Network). We are using TON because the gas fees here are particularly low, so you actually end up with a little under $45, and the price does not double as it would on Ethereum Mainnet.
“How to get TON?”, “How can I connect my wallet” etc. – all these questions and many more will be answered in the next post about the Beta Test Game. Yes, the Beta Test is already started, so follow us so you don’t miss anything.
Back to the topic!
Once all NFT tickets have been sold, the first play session will net a total of $270,000 in cash prizes. First place will receive $80,000, second place $20,000, and third place $10,000 for 10 minutes of play!
Here you will find an overview of all remaining jobs:
1st Place: $80,000
2nd Place: $20,000
3rd Place: $10,000
4th Place: $8,000
5th Place: $7,000
6th Place: $6,000
7th Place: $5,000
8th Place: $4,000
9th Place: $3,500
10th Place: $3,000
Top 25%: $50 for each player
Yes, you read that right! If you make it to the top 25% of the leaderboard, you will receive a $50 reward. No other game pays out such high winnings in such a compact time, and everyone is a winner because everyone keeps their NFT at the end of the session. It’s actually worth mentioning at this point, because there are now games where your NFTs are burned. Shame on you, guys!
Of course, you may be asking yourself at this point, what should NFTs bring me after a game session? Don’t worry, NFT tickets will remain valuable.
There will be special events that you can only attend if, for example, you have a ticket for the first and third session in your wallet. You can freely sell your tickets, but remember that you may lose the chance to attend a nippy special event!
That’s pretty much all.
You have 10 minutes to get an incredible win that will definitely change the lives of some of you.
I hope you enjoyed this introduction to us and are interested in getting involved.
The Beta Game Test event will be Free2Play, and each participant will have the chance to be whitelisted, which will guarantee them a ticket to the first game session.
