Battlefield 6 The programmer’s ripple effect was not the least surprised by the constant flow of leaks, which he suffered throughout 2025.
Film material leaked, details and more from the ongoing closed program of PlayTest, known as Battlefield Labs Over the past few months of development, I flew to the Internet in this year’s new Battlefield game. This resulted in an unconventional advantage to what was supported as a particularly important entry in the long -term FPS series, leading to the confusion of fans when they watched everything with The game is ordered Down Game modes Online leak.
We asked the technical director Christian Buhl and senior combat designer Matthew Nickerson about their approach to Battlefield 6 leaks during the last interview. Buhl claims that the Ripple Effect “did not want leaks”, but confessed to the desire of BF Studios to develop feedback from the player, led to several necessary sacrifices.
“We actually talked, I think about a year or two,” Buhl explained. “It seems to me that maybe about two years ago, about how much we have done to prevent leaks, compared to how much we intended to do to get a game in front of players. We made a very deliberate decision that we would apply things to players very much and receive their opinion, although we knew that everything was not leaking.”
EA and four entities that make up BF studies – Ripple, Bone, Motive Studio and Criterion Games – they knew that Battlefield 6 must hit the ground so as not to color the already damaged franchise reputation. Feedback from players has been an important part of the team foundation for years, but they were not naive to the idea that the direct line of communication with fans may cause official materials to reach the audience.
“I remember that at some point I made a great presentation that says:” What will leak? ” We just started with the assumption that everything would leak – added Buhl. “Now, for clarity, we did not want things to leak. We were not looking for leaks, but we knew that the most important thing was to get a game in front of players, get real feedback from players, obtaining true telemetry, real data and which had to cost at all costs, including the fact that matters are leaving.”
Buhl said that BF Studios made “it was a bit harder for people to leak”, but he maintained his sight on one purpose: “Stop in front of the players, even though we know that the leak would end.” We will find out how Battlefield 6 turned out to start on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S on the day of October 10.
