We all know that Fortnite is the king of crossovers, but the tables have changed in recent years, and Fortnite has been crossing the territory of LEGO. We appeared a handful of sets that represent the strange and crazy world of one of the most popular Battle Royale games such as Durrr Burger and the iconic battle bus. The latest set that fell at the beginning of this month is the leader of the Giant Mech team. I am not the biggest player of Fortnite, but I can’t even deny how much fun this compilation was.
Lego Fortnite Mecha Leader is certainly the biggest compilation I made here on Ign. When the box arrived by post, I was really surprised by its size. Entering slightly below two feet, the box is absolutely massive. The set itself consists of 2,503 pieces and is distributed among 19 bags. The instructional brochure is equally hefty, feeling like a graphic novel on 317 pages. Instructions and sets of stickers were even in a premium envelope to protect it, I appreciated.
I didn’t quite know what I was packing when I started this compilation. During the day I built countless Lego sets, but really nothing on such a scale. I built it in one day, because I don’t know how to relax, with a few breaks between them, because my kitchen table chairs are not comfortable at all. In general, I think it took me about five or six hours. Each aspect of the mech body is excellent detailed, everyone has their own extremely technical and unique attachment techniques. A nice time and only one leg took me almost an hour.
I do not develop in tradition for the project of the Mech team, but I think I can talk about everyone when I comment on how humorous (and humorous amazing) this set is. One leg consists of what looks like ice cream, with a cherry foot, while the other foot is a literal cheeseburger. I don’t understand and I don’t care; This thing rules. Building each part of the body was extremely satisfying, seeing how in -depth attachment techniques are. Each limb is movable and possible, except for the knees, which unfortunately do not bend. But you can still express your arms, hands and fingers to put them on the shelf as you want.
One of my favorite aspects of this construction is a huge sword. He cleverly uses the gray empty head and LEGO pony hairstyle to simulate what I am sure is that there is a fringed at the end of the sword handle. You can stick the sword in the hands of the mech, so you can pose it as you like, the sword will not fall.
The chest recess opens to enable its minifigura, and it is also one of the first parts of the compilation. You will build a pilot cockpit, along with a detailed chair and screens to examine the battlefield, in which most of the sticker elements enter. The mech breastplate himself was nippy to build, but I question part of the sequencing in the steps here; It was challenging to attach the upper breastplate when he was fully folded to the rest of the body without breaking other elements in this process.
The teddy bear’s head really connects the whole set. This is the last piece of compilation, as well as one of my favorite parts. I always appreciate how LEGO designers can take ordinary brick shapes and form in an extremely detailed, amazing restoration of what we all know is the head and the head of the mecha team leader is not different. His eyes, ears and diminutive tufts of hair are amazing diminutive details.
Although I don’t play Fortnite, the leader of the Lego Mecha band is one of my favorite compilations I’ve ever done, whether for Ign or alone. When everything is said and done, it is almost 18 inches. This is an impressive and time -consuming compilation, which I highly recommend deciding during many sessions. The mech version, the sword to build and printed “Fortnite” Lego board are great additions to the already great set. I love Lego and I am a great nerd when it comes to appreciating massive design, such technical sets and I can’t wait to see more of what they can cook.
