Nearly a decade ago, Warframe players used weapons like the Tipedo send yourself flying at absurd speeds. This turned the mobility game on its head, allowing those with such dexterity to glide through levels quickly. Instead of fixing this bug, Digital Extremes created a feature out of it. Now, with Warframe 1999, a similar revolution in mobile gaming seems to have happened again.
This is all thanks to the motorcycle, a piece of equipment that can be summoned and allows players to hop on their own two-wheeled vehicle at any time. This is only intended to be useful in the recent Warframe 1999 missions – a way to quickly traverse the sprawling city recently added to the game. However, players quickly learned that this could be invoked in missions outside of recent content, allowing vehicle speeds to occur where it was absolutely not intended.

Announced in-game and beyond official Warframe Redditthe band apparently decided to let things run their course. Megan Everett, Warframe Community Director, provided additional information on what will be fixed to make things work. This includes leniency not applying to other traversal vehicles, the inability to utilize a motorcycle in Archwing missions (because motorcycles can’t fly, right), and any game-breaking issues resulting from this decision being fixed in a timely manner.
It’s a great decision, honestly. When Warframe actually introduced ball jumping, it added a whole recent layer to the game, forcing players to master movement skills to really get the most out of their time. This also allowed for more verticality. One wonders if boss fights like Ropalolyst would even be possible without this decision. The choice to utilize motorcycles in regular missions opens up many intriguing possibilities.
