Sony hasn’t announced pricing for its PS5 30th Anniversary Collection, but a credible leaker may have done so.
The PS5 may not have a ton of games (check its Wikipedia page for titles that are actually exclusive to the platform), but it is getting one thing this year: a fancy-looking original PlayStation-style edition to celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary. I really don’t need any of that, and I’m absolutely trying to reach that nostalgic part of my heart, but damn, that PSX color scheme is still unbeatable. The only problem is that the price hasn’t been revealed yet, so for those of you who love posting that “take my money” Fry from Futurama meme, you don’t know what you’ll be parting with just yet.

However, the ever-reliable Billbil-kun, known for frequently and correctly revealing upcoming PlayStation Plus titles and more, he allegedly shared the price at least for some of the collection. First off, the PS5 Digital Edition will cost $450, which is about $50 more than the standard Digital Edition. On top of that, the PSX-themed controllers will cost $80 if you want to buy them separately, which is the price of the recently released constrained edition Astro Bot controller, so that’s about right.
Billbil-kun didn’t offer any details when it comes to the PS5 Pro or PlayStation Portal, but given the price augment for the PS5 Digital Edition, you’re probably expecting at least a $50 augment over the regular Pro (which already costs a whopping $700). As for Portal, your guess is as good as mine, but it’s probably secure to say it’s no more than a $50 augment.
Sony is clearly going a bit overboard with its pricing, and our Tom explained why the PS5 Pro’s $700 price tag worries him so much — so much so that he decided to make it as inexpensive as possible.
