When you first enter the Cryptic Cavern, you’ll find yourself in a small room with a locked gate. On the left side of the screen, you’ll see a switch. Use any range or floating echo, such as facialstrike from a distance and the gate will open.

The second room in the Cryptic Cavern is a crossroads that leads to the rest of the mini-dungeon. The left path has a locked gate for now, the middle path has two air cannons firing to the sides, and the right path has a single air cannon firing at the only path.

Choose the middle track and use a strong echo like pebbleto block the air cannons so you can get through unharmed. Go through the door at the end of the path.

The next room is filled with pathblades. You can kill these things with a flying echo like crowand it is especially easy if you connect with the enemy first – you will also get Echo of the path blade when you kill one. However, you can also deal with them by dropping boulders in front of them and just move past.

Slowly and carefully make your way through all the pathblades until you reach the blue switch at the top. Hit it with another echo just like you did in room 1. This will cause a chest to appear on the other side of the room.

Go back to where you entered room 3 and take the ramp on the right. This will take you next to two gibdos and the chest you created earlier. Defeat the gibdo if you want, or just grab small key from the chest and run away. You can use facial explode the mountain of sand on the left side of the screen where the blue rupee is.

When you’re ready, go through the south door.

Room 5 is a 2D area. To the right of where you land, you’ll find a gate with a switch behind it. Ignore it for now and go down the ladder on the left. Kill or block the pathblade when you land and use bed Or trampoline to get over the hump in the middle of the platform. Go down the ladder forward and jump the gap to an area with another pathblade. Go through it and break the pot to get fairy.

Drop down to the lower area where there is a long gap and a pathblade below. Target the pathblade, bind it, then Reverse Bind it when it jumps to the side. It will teleport you to a chest with a red rupee inside.

Room 6 is a continuation of the 2D area and is filled with more pathblades. Use facial break through the piles of sand — unblocking the path — and then overcome or pass the path blade. On the second floor, use facial to blow up the stack, but not defeat Pathblade.

Go to the third floor, use facial to blow away the mountain of sand on the other side, bind to the pathblade below when it’s next to you on the right, then use Reverse Bind when it dashes to the left. This will teleport you to a door (and another pathblade, so be careful).

If you destroyed the pathblade on the second floor, either echo the pathblade on the second floor or move the pathblade on the third floor down using the Bind ability.

Go up the ladder from room 6 to room 7. Here you will encounter a powered gibdo. Use the most powerful echo you have (or Swordfighter form) to destroy it, which will cause it to drop Level 2 Echo Gibdo for you.

Turn left to return to room 5 and hit the switch behind the gate. Then return to room 7 and exit through the door on the right.

In room 8, you’ll find what’s basically just a large handle attached to a block that’s underneath a mountain of sand. Tie it to the block and pull it back toward the door. Eventually, you’ll move it to the left and release the sand above. This will reveal a new area—the Gerudo Sanctum—in the Gerudo Desert. Either exit the Cryptic Cavern normally, or open the map and teleport.

Go to where you just cleared the sand and enter the Gerudo Sanctuary to continue your quest.
