Walkthrough and Rogier’s steps in Elden Ring

Where to start Rogier’s mission in Elden Ring

Inside Stormveil Castle, from Defense tower Place of grace, go north and down the stairs to reach the roof of the church. Watch out for Warhawks on your way. You can enter the church through one of the windows or employ a ladder from the south-east. If you choose the latter, you will have to defeat the patrolling units. Otherwise, they may follow you to the church and attack Rogier.

Once inside the church, speak to the Wizard Rogier at the center table as shown above.

Defeat Godrick the Transplanted

Your next goal is to fight and defeat the final boss in Stormveil Castle, Godric the Transplanted. This is the second main boss you will come into contact with, and the encounter is much more challenging than Margit, Fell Omen. Talk to Rogier in the Round Table Keep

After defeating Godrick, it’s time to join the Round Table. Teleport there if Melina has already taken you there, or visit the place of grace so she can show up and invite you. You can find your way to Rogier sitting on the balcony east of the central room. Talk to him and select the “I defeated Godrick” dialogue option when available. Rogier rewards you Rogier’s rapier +8 and ends the conversation.

Explore beneath Stormveil Castle

To continue Rogier’s questline, you must visit the underground part of Stormveil Castle, where you can find out what happened to Rogier.

Teleport to Place of grace in the chamber next to the elevator, employ the elevator on the left, and in the next area, employ the ledge to reach the window on the right. From there, turn right and follow the only path available.

On the balcony, enter the door leading to the inner part of the castle. First go left and open the shortcut to Place of grace in the chamber next to the elevator. You can now go back and go right. Use the beams to reach the lower levels until you are on the ground.

Watch out for the rats and keep going to find it Lesser ulcerated tree spirit. Defeat him, move on and interact with the bloodstain next to the enormous face.

Return to Rogier and talk to Fia

Go back to talk to Rogier and ask him about the corpse under the Storm Veil. Then, still in the Round Table Keep, go talk to Fia in the room next to the blacksmith. Let her hold you and interact with her until you can choose the dialogue options “Talk in secret”, “Did you know…?” and “On the black knife print.”

Defeat the Black Knife Killer

To complete this step, you must visit the website Catacombs of the Black Knife on the north-eastern side of Liurna Jezior. There is a hidden boss inside this dungeon. To find it, go west from the bonfire, turn left from the door, then right and to the end of the hall.

You will reach a room with three giant guillotines. Use the one in the middle to lift yourself up to the door. Go ahead and turn right. The boss room can be found at the end of this path, behind the illusory wall.

There you will face Killer with a black knife, a swift and deadly enemy. Defeating them rewards you Cerulean Assassin’s Dagger and Black knife print.

Return to Rogier

Once you have the Black Knife Imprint, talk to Rogier and give him the Black Knife Print. Once you have exhausted the dialogue, reload the game and talk to him again. This time he will tell you to look for Ranni. Ask Rogier about it The whereabouts of the injured to tell you that he must be hiding in a mansion north of Ray Lucaria Academy.

Go to Caria Manor and talk to Ranni

This step leads to Caria Manor. At the entrance, follow the path to the left and continue northwest, following the road to reach Lower Level Manor Place of Grace. From there, go southeast, go up the stairs northeast, and employ the elevator to find A place of grace on the upper level of the manor. Leave the room and go northeast until you find some stairs.

Go through some smaller soldiers and a giant to fight Royal knight Loretta. After defeating it, go north and reach Three sisters towers. You will find the injured in the tower in the southwestern part of the map. Talk to her at the top of the tower until she tells you to disappear.

Return to Rogier at the Round Table headquarters

Teleport back to the Round Table Fortress and talk to Rogier. After telling him this Ranni rejected her curse, suggests that you become her vassal. Exhaust the dialogue to proceed to the next step. You can take this opportunity to talk to him about D, thanks to which you will receive an item related to the D questline.

Return to Ranni in Caria Manor

Now, by talking to Ranni again, you can accept to become her vassal. Know that this will start the Wounded questline. When the conversation is over, talk to the spirits of the other three NPCs in the tower. Before you leave, talk to Ranni again and she will mention that she is falling into a long sleep.

Return to Rogier for the last time

In the last part of the mission, you must visit Rogier for the last time and you should have a novel dialogue with him explaining how worried he is about his condition. (If his dialogue hasn’t changed, reload the game and try talking to him again.)

After this conversation, rest in a place of grace, and when you talk to him again, Rogier will not respond to you. Repeat the process of resting in a place of grace and talking to him several times. Ultimately, Rogier dies, leaving behind Set of spells and its bell. As Rogier’s last act before his death, he writes a letter to you, telling you about his brother D.
