It’s been a long time since Sega has been involved with the Virtua Fighter franchise. While players won’t be getting a up-to-date installment in the fighting game series (though maybe they should), the series is returning to Steam this winter.
Sega created ad on X Friday it is Virtua Fighter 5 REVO, improved version of 3D fighter Virtua Fighter 5 final showdownis now available for Steam wishlist. More details will be shared at a later date, but for now we know that it will be playable in 4K resolution and up to 60 frames per second, will have improved gameplay balance, improved graphics, and most importantly, will be playable in fighting games. fans, revert the netcode so there will be no lag regardless of platform. There will also be up-to-date online modes in which up to 16 players will be able to compete.

Virtua Fighter is one of those somewhat forgotten series of arcade fighting games that is not as popular as Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat. There were five main entries, and the last one, Virtual Warrior 5was released in 2006. Since then, it has been re-released several times, including: Virtua Fighter 5 final showdown launches in 2021 and brings up-to-date music and updated graphics to PlayStation 4. This means you can still play Virtual Warrior 5 if you have a PlayStation Network account and it’s still one of the best fighting games on PS5. REWO is a sort of PC port of this version, but with more up-to-date features.
