Vampire Survivors has a scary surprise if you can keep the secret

Published:

It was deep night, and under the cover of darkness a modern one appeared Vampire Survivors Update crawled out of the shadows while we were all in bed. Developer Poncle yesterday released a Darkasso update on all platforms except PlayStation, which will launch later this month, and there are a whole bunch of weird, deaky gadgets available.

The Darkasso update has nine modern achievements to unlock, as well as a brand modern stage called Room 1665. Hold your noses and put on your gloves, because this modern stage is made of literal meat and is a devilish area created by the malice and hatred of all the souls that have fallen into the bone zone, with 16 floors for you to fight your way through. We are all fans of the best horror games, and Vampire Survivors does not disappoint when it comes to blood, guts, and righteous revenge.

In addition to a brand modern stage, a modern feature is coming to the darkness. Darkanas, a set of murky arcana that grant stimulating modern gameplay modifiers – like crafting projectiles that explode everything around you when you take damage – as well as a handful of modern skins. There’s a lot to figure out, and maybe even more secrets that Poncle didn’t tell us, who knows? They’ve kept the update a murky secret, so maybe there’s more to unearth from the shadows.

In addition to all the hellish goodies we’re getting with this update, there’s also a modern spell code: starpupil. This unlocks a few alternate starting weapons to test your mettle with two modern skins for Eleanor, so there’s plenty to sink your teeth into, plenty of enemies to drag back to Hell, and waves of supernatural creatures to defeat so you can survive to see another sunrise.

If you’re looking for even scarier games, there are plenty of Roblox horror games to get your teeth into, and you can always call upon cult favorites like the FNAF games to get your heart racing.
