Apple Arcade will add Vampire Survivors to its collection on August 1, 2024, for free — and without ads.
Apple has announced the addition of Vampire Survivors+ as a version with two premium expansions included in the price. The complete removal of ads is probably what makes this version most appealing, giving it an edge over the Gothic rogue-lite version that’s already available on mobile devices.
“Mow down thousands of nocturnal creatures and survive until dawn in Vampire Survivors, a gothic horror game with rogue-lite elements where your choices will quickly defeat the hundreds of monsters that are thrown at you,” reads the official synopsis.
Vampire Survivors has become one of the biggest surprise hits of the last few years, as what started as a modest indie game on Steam has grown and gained popularity. Developer Poncle soon added layers of novel content to the game, and the base experience now features 50 playable characters and 80 weapons to play with. That’s before two major expansions, meaning Apple Arcade is set to add a ton of content at no extra cost, though the service is priced at $6.99 per month.
In our 7/10 review, IGN stated, “It may look incredibly basic, but if you give Vampire Survivors’ idea of a clever single-stick shooter a chance to sink its teeth into you, it may not let go of you for a while.”
Temple Run: Legends will also be coming to Apple Arcade on August 1, with Castle Crumble joining them on August 29.
