One More Level, the development studio behind the Ghostrunner games, has released a brand modern gameplay trailer for Valor Mortis. Valor Mortis is a first-person soulslike game, which was announced by the development team in August. The modern gameplay trailer, lasting about a minute, shows the main character William, a resurrected soldier in Napoleon’s army, using melee weapons, fire and guns to face a variety of horrors.
Valor Mortis will take historical figures from Napoleon’s era and see them transformed into horror in a world where Europe was consumed by plague, but whose powers you can control. Since it’s a soul-like character, you’ll die over and over again in Valor Mortis, but you can get stronger each time by learning modern skills and abilities, as well as figuring out how to exploit vulnerabilities to eliminate your most threatening enemies. The first test of Valor Mortis has ended, culminating in 515,000 player deaths and 3 million enemy kills.
Valor Mortis will be released in 2026 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
