Update: Beyond Good & Evil – 20th Anniversary Edition is real and will be released next week

This morning, Ubisoft accidentally released a trailer for Beyond Good & Evil – 20th Anniversary Edition along with the information that the game will be available on all platforms next week. However, he deleted the post shortly after. Now Ubisoft has re-posted the news, confirming that Beyond Good & Evil – 20th Anniversary Edition does indeed exist and will be released on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC on June 25.

Last year, the Xbox Store accidentally listed Beyond Good & Evil – 20th Anniversary Edition, and Ubisoft later said it appeared earlier due to a “technical error.” Now, in what appears to be another type of technical error, Ubisoft may have accidentally revealed that Beyond Good & Evil – 20th Anniversary Edition will be released on June 25.

However, June 25 is next Tuesday, so it’s possible that this beloved classic will arrive on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch and PC in just a few days.

Although Ubisoft’s post has since been deleted, some X users managed to download the trailer, which you can check out below:

As you can see, the game will offer up to 4K/60 FPS resolution and performance, an art gallery and other features, and will release on “all platforms” on June 25. Ubisoft hasn’t commented on the since-deleted tweet, but if the game is in fact released next week, we’ll likely learn more about it soon.

Strangely, amid Ubisoft’s silence on the deleted announcement, Limited Run Games announced that it will be releasing a physical edition of Beyond Good & Evil – 20th Anniversary Edition, which will release on July 12 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, and switch.
