New Character Creation and Selection Screen

The fresh Warband system in World of Warcraft The War Within reimagines the classic character creation and selection screen. Each of our characters will sit around a cozy campfire, waiting to be selected for the day’s competition. The list of available characters will remain on the right side of the screen via a drop-down menu, but the fresh layout makes character selection a breeze.

The fresh layout also adds the ability to add characters to a “Favorites” list, making it easier than ever to place your primary characters in one place and your alternate characters in another.

How war groups work

The goal of the Warband system is to make trading materials, currency, and equipment with other characters easier than ever before. Before this system, you either had to send currency to your alternate characters or trade gold with a friend and hope they don’t run away with your loot. The system covers all characters on one account, regardless of Realm, but is circumscribed to a single region, such as America, Oceania, etc.

When you first log in World of Warcraft The War WithinWhether it’s at full launch or during the pre-patch that’s already available, the fresh Warband system will begin merging all characters on your account into the fresh system. This may take a few minutes to complete after your first login, so just be patient as the process plays out.

Once you do this, you won’t have to log in to each character like you may have in the past for the system to integrate properly. Renown Reputation and select Standard Reputation gains are now also account-wide, meaning you can earn Reputation on any character of your choice and collect rewards on your alternate accounts. In addition, some gear will now have a fresh attribute called “Warbound Until Equipped,” meaning that the item can be put into the Warband Bank and used by one of your other characters. In the future, there are plans for Raid, Dungeons, and Delve gear to be “Warbound Until Equipped,” making it easier than ever to equip your characters.

Warband Bank Card

One of the key fresh features is Warband Bank slots, which allow us to access tabs for every character on the same account. They work the same way as Stash in Diablo 4 yes. This means we can access equipment, currency, and materials in this bank to make crafting, trading on the Auction House, or getting equipment upgrades much easier. The Warband Bank tab can be found at any regular banker worldwide, right next to the Reagent Bank tab, although opening more Warband Bank slots is quite pricey. Here’s a breakdown of the prices for each fresh tab:

  • 1: 1000 gold
  • 2: 25,000 gold
  • 3: 100,000 gold
  • 4: 500,000 gold
  • 5: 2,500,000 gold

What if you need to access your Warband Bank while away from home? With the Warband Bank Distance Inhibitor, you can do just that! When you first log in with any character, a questline titled Warbands: Warbanding Together should appear. Completing the questline will reward you with the Distance Inhibitor, which lets you summon a portal to your Warband Bank bookmarks.

It is worth noting that, like the mailbox toy and many other such items, World of Warcraft, The cooldown is two hours and the portal will only be lively for 10 minutes, so trade quickly!

Hopefully the fresh Warband system will be expanded soon and will add even more reputation, currencies, and items, allowing for silky character exchange.
