Patch Information for Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 2The latest patch, Hotfix 2.1, revealed that developer Saber Interactive is working on some of the game’s most requested features. These additions will arrive in a larger update in overdue 2024.
Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 2 Hotfix 2.1 provides a series of fixes for bugs and potential crashes that have been the cause of several player complaints. Below patch notes for this patch is a selection of features that Saber Interactive plans to introduce to the game in a future update, including support for ultrawide monitors, a Battle Barge training arena, and private PvE lobbies.
Glory to the Emperor for supporting the ultrawide screen
I liked it very much Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 2 on PS5 with no real issues beyond an infinite loading screen bug. However, some fans have clearly been making their requests known to the game’s developer, as we now have three highly requested features on the way.
Ultrawide monitor support is one of the things I’ve heard about most on the forum. Space Marine subreddit. I totally understand wanting to have this, as the environments in the game are gorgeous. Being able to see more as you progress through the campaign, operations, or combat in Eternal War would be great.
While I don’t mind random lobbies in Operations, the PvE multiplayer mode, I can see why others would want them. However, the sparring arena in Battle Barge, that feature surprised me. I think the ability to fight other players in a protected environment would make the transition from campaign to PvP much easier, so I hope that’s what it achieves when it’s added.
Patch 2.1 includes fixes for a crash that could stop the game right after it launched, a occasional crash that could stop the game in the opening cutscene, and a few occasional bugs that could lock players up during the campaign. It also optimizes CPU performance on PC to make the game run better on high-end machines. I even noticed some stuttering on PS5. So hopefully, now that the developer is in the woods on a fix like this, console players will see improvements in the future.
Saber Interactive has many more planned Warhammer 40K: Space Marines 2. The game has sold 2 million copies just days after its official launch, which means its future looks vivid, especially since features like these are high on the update priority list.
