As we rapidly approach the festive season, the UK physical gaming chart looks as predictable as you could imagine – with the exception of one up-to-date entry.
Black Myth: Wukong hit retail on December 12 and managed to secure a debut position at #7.
That’s not all bad, considering the game has been available digitally since August and the rest of the top ten is consistently popular software.
The top three are particularly predictable; first there’s EA Sports FC 25, then Hogwarts Legacy, and then Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This will be one of three games that will get Christmas number one.
The rest of the top ten is largely thanks to Nintendo, which is no surprise. In addition to Wukong, Sonic X Shadow Generations is in ninth place, down a few spots from last week.
Just outside the top ten are several PS5 exclusive titles; Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Astro Bot rank 11th and 12th, respectively.
Here’s the full top 10 list (physical sales only).
