If I took my kid to a dinosaur museum and the gift shop and hallways were full of Sonic merchandise, I think I’d be a little confused. I think that makes the inclusion of things like the Two Point Museum pre-order bonuses — alongside Knuckles staff costumes and Sonic-themed interactive exhibits — a pretty sturdy additional incentive not to pre-order.
But hey, at least the next management game in the expanding 2nd universe already has a release date: March 4, 2025.
Two Point Museum follows up Campus and Hospital with a spiritual successor to Bullfrog in the realm of management games. That is, a soulless core of financial efficiency as you offer money-grabbing entertainment for your wandering clientele, with a loose layer of lithe satire and absurdity on top. It’s as winning a formula now as it was in the ’90s: Ed praised its “free-flowing joy” in his review of Two Point Campus , while Nic found a hearty patient in his review of Two Point Hospital in 2018.
This latest construction project will see you building a museum with a sturdy focus on natural history, with your exhibits including dinosaur bones, ocean fossils, and the like. There are also apparently a few novel systems that fit the theme. As the museum curator, you’ll send relic hunters across a gradually revealing world map to bring back goods, like some British Museum employee who’s been looting, and your exhibits can be leveled up to generate more “noise,” which encourages visitors to make larger donations.
More information about pre-order bonuses and different editions can be found here on its Steam page right now.
