I have always admired the range of Stealth 700 Turtle Beach. Cheaper headphone sets, like Turtle Beach Recon 70, will not quite hit the right price -value ratio for me, and although Turtle Beach Sealth 500 seems to be a solid offer, I always liked the more robust climate of Headsets Gaming. They have dense cushioning around the ears, close but comfortable fit and have a striking sound quality.
At this point, I tested every generation of Stealth 700, and the newest is clearly the best, but the wider market has also changed a lot. One of the biggest problems related to the purchase of a headset at the moment is that it seems that there is a bit of science in many price ranges. Do you have about $ 60? Go on stereo Corsair HS55. Is your budget $ 200? Hyperx Cloud Alpha Wireless is an obvious choice.
Turtle Beach Stealth 700 Gen 3 will have difficulties on its market, mainly because there are so many solid options. The question no longer sounds “Is that good?” But “is it better?” I would say that the answer is: “not quite, but puts a good fight.”
I am now testing the Stealth 700 Gen 3, this is a PC version, which is in elegant black colors with featherlight silver details – but I would not call it insidious. From a hefty pillow, a fairly bulky size and name of the turtle beach hit from the side, it is noticeably the headphone set. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but maybe a little Too game In motion, if something like this is possible.

The PC version is not only for PC players because of its colors. It is equipped with unique functions at Turtle Beach Swarm II, audio software, such as boost chat in the game, mix of chat in the game and waves 3D, 3D audio option. Unfortunately, the color of the headphone set defines the platform, so if you bought the Cobalt Blue model, because you like the appearance, you lack a frequency response from 10 Hz to 40 kHz, which is only possible on the PC headset.
It is worth noting that the version of the PC headset also works on PS4 and PS5, although not on Xbox. If you also play PlayStation, instead I don’t see a single reason to buy a white explusion playstation headphone set.
The headphone set is also equipped with two 2.4 GHz connectors, as well as built -in Bluetooth 5.2 support. This means that you can connect one receiver into a computer and one for PS5 and replace from device to device, simply by clicking the button on the headphone set. Then Bluetooth connectivity is at the same time, which means that you can watch a quick tiktok from the phone without having to remove the headphone set. It is very useful and one of the best features of Stealth 700 Gen 3.
Unfortunately, although the ability to connect with many devices at the same time is excellent, it can be a bit more effort than I expected. Updating the headphone set, allowing him to sleep through inactivity or switching of devices may take a while, and sometimes it does not connect at the first pass. This means that slight problem solving is a ubiquitous problem with the headphone set. Replace the devices never meant that I had to commit myself to fully reset, but if the headphone set goes to sleep mode, I had to connect again from time to time. In addition, there is no wire connection option with the headphone set.
However, the Stealth 700 Gen 3 connecting is rather impressive. It has a neutral sound profile with a slight reinforcement of the bass, which means that it is atmospheric for games and boss bob the value of music. Testing it in Runescape: Dragonwilds offered a real blow to the sound of a cow hit the ground, which almost made me feel bad. Almost. Then the sounds of dragonwilds, filled with singing birds and magic in the air, went through pristine and clearly.
Explosive sounds of extermination: The gloomy centuries are as sturdy and bulky as you can expect, but drivers are able to spend parts in the soundtrack that do not hit and shout over the upper part of the mixture. It allows the nuance to slip under all this distorted guitar.
The elements are built on the side of the ears and are very straightforward to navigate, which I was grateful that I learned after shocking with striking music in the 2-Strike 2 lobby motif. Counterattack 2 itself is a suitable test of the headphone set, because very bass headphones sometimes drown out the traces and overload the sounds among the thunder of AWP shots. Despite the bass sound, Stealth 700 Gen 3 works great and clearly.
There is also a lot of adaptation in Turtle Beach Swarm II, with basic EQ control elements and switch for Waves 3D, strengthening games chat and monitoring of microphones. I discovered that over 80%monitoring of microphones would cause a rather nasty noise. This noise was not expected when speaking, so 65% is a sweet place here.
Listen to the microphone test here:
Swarm II is both high -quality software with intuitive control elements and straightforward access to future updates, but with pain to continue using. After a while, the software simply refused to open, requiring a novel installation or restarting all my set just to turn on. I had no problem with the software on one computer. On the other hand, it failed, trying to get an update and required tone of tests to work again. In general, the software can generally be picky, so there is always a chance that it is partly the fault of my platform, but it is worth noting here.
Stealth 700 Gen 3 has a nice fit, with a fairly protected fastening force on the head. I have never caused me any pain or discomfort, but it is a stronger compression than I am used to. Fortunately, the upper headband on the head and side pads are super cushioned, so the whole headphone set simply ends with a cozy. Rather, I like fit, but it is bulky and tight, so it can annoy others.
Buy if …
✅ You want to connect with many devices at the same time: Most headphone sets can do this now, but the Stealth 700 Gen 3 stands out, being able to connect to the console and computer with two different connectors, along with the Bluetooth connection.
✅ You like the tight clamping force: I always liked the fact that nailing the matching the Stealth 700 line and this is one of my favorite headphones for convenience. It can be a sensory nightmare if you don’t like to feel the headphone set during the game.
Don’t buy if …
❌ You like the idea of Hyperx Cloud Alpha Wireless: Stealth 700 Gen 3 shines in some areas, but we are absolutely hit in a similar price of Alpha Wireless, and our money will probably go there.
MIC is fine due to its price range. It is clear and the software provides many adjustment options. It can be a bit tinna, even with the filtering of AI noise. The wall deviation system also works perfectly, thanks to the slight gentleman indicating every time you are muted. Just drop the microphone and you are ready to talk to your friends.
One of the biggest sins that Stealth 700 Gen 3 stops is the same price as MSRP clouds Alpha Wireless. Given that this last headphone set is often cheaper because it is older. The comparison is not the most flattering for the ol ‘turtle beach. Stealth 700 Gen 3 has a significant battery life of 80 hours, but pales compared to 300 hours that Alpha Wireless will give you. In addition, the older headset sounds great, there are no software problems and does not require the acquired taste of a close fit.
Until now, I have tried every Stealth 700 headphone set, and Gen 3 is my favorite from the whole plot. However, the MSRP is high enough for the competition to be quite tense and is not as straightforward to exploit as I expected. Comfortable fit and great drivers are disappointed by mediocre software and impressive, but somewhat inconsistent evaporation.
