Hello goblin enthusiasts, would you like to play the role of a cute little goblin selling junk? Well, guess what, it’s a game you can play now, as Trash Goblin went live on Steam Early Access this week. You play as a little goblin who runs a business that cleans up filthy garbage for resale to the weird weirdos that live in your fantasy city.
“Trash Goblin is a wholesome and cozy shop-keeping game where you discover and clean out trinkets for sale! Customize them through upcycling and more to meet the eccentric requests of endless colorful customers. Spend your savings to upgrade your shop, buy new and better tools, and customize your space!” – says the creator of Spilled Milk.
If you’re interested, Trash Goblin has a demo that’s available now on Steam.
Much of Junk Goblins involves cleaning, upgrading, and combining the curiosities you find into fresh items that can be sold. Different types of shell require different tools and approaches to debris removal. The initial Early Access version includes 50 trinkets to exploit and eight tools to collect, which trigger three different mini-games – although more are planned for the future.
The current roadmap lists such mysterious signs in the near future as Full of Beans, a ghost called the Spirit of Customer Service and Brick by Brick. There are other obvious things, but I like the stupid ones.
Trash Goblin is designed to be a relaxing game: “There’s a slight limit to how much you can do in a given day, but customers will keep coming back, you can mess around as much as you want, and there are no failure states,” says Spilled Mleko.
You can find your way to: Garbage Goblin on your website AND on Steam for $15, although it’s 10% off through November 18.
