  • Tower of God: New World is Coming to Two New Platforms, But Maybe Not the Ones You’re Expecting
  • Players in Japan can now join Tower of God via LINE Messenger
  • Meanwhile, US players can get a feel for the streaming technology by trying it out on nowCafe

Tower of God: New World, Netmarble’s hit collectible RPG, is coming to two brand up-to-date platforms. But they might be ones you’re not familiar with. The first is now.gg, a game streaming platform available in the U.S. And the second is LINE Messenger in Japan?

That’s right, technically both of those things are coming to the developer’s service now.gg. However, in Japan, players will be able to jump into Tower of God directly through the super-popular messenger app. Meanwhile, US players will have to play directly through nowCafe, the developer’s own game streaming platform.

It’s definitely an unusual up-to-date release, but it could be a sign of both how popular Tower of God is behind the scenes and the unusual nature of some of Netmarble’s partnerships. But for some players, it means they’ll be able to try their hand at Tower of God without having to go through a cumbersome download!

A up-to-date way to play?

Of course, this isn’t exactly uncommon, as anyone who’s been encouraged to play mini-games with friends on Facebook Messenger can attest. However, it’s sporadic for a game as large as Tower of God: New World to be available to play via streaming on the Messenger app. Netmarble clearly believes this will support them reach a whole up-to-date audience, and we’re curious to see if that’s the case.

While the service is currently only available in Japan, US players can check it out via the nowCafe service on now.gg.
