It’s official, Nintendo is having a great Black Friday this year. Tears of the Kingdom is the only Nintendo Switch game published by Nintendo for $69.99, and it’s coming soon $30this will be the lowest score we have seen in this game. If you are Walmart+ member, 5-hour early access will begin 12:00 p.m. EST on Monday, November 25.
If it is not sold out at that time, it will be made available to all remaining users at 5:00 PM EST. As a backup, Target has everything in place Now also $39.99which while not as good, is still a great deal.
You can see the Tears of the Kingdom list at Walmart below and even add it to your cart, ready for purchase tomorrow. We’ll try to let you know when the offer is available and if retailers like Best Buy and the target price will also match the offer.
Should you sign up for Walmart+ before November 25?
While one of the standout offers in Walmart’s first wave of Black Friday deals is 50% off a 12-month Walmart+ membership, it’s probably still not worth signing up just to take advantage of one deal. You’re probably better off buying the game at Target for $40.
Instead, consider whether early access to upcoming Walmart deals or other benefits of a 12-month membership makes sense for you. Take some time to compare the value of a subscription with your shopping habits and decide if it’s the right choice.
Can’t you wait? Today at Target they are $39.99 for Tears of the Kingdom
Like we said, if you can’t wait or as a backup, Tears of the Kingdom will be $39.99 starting today at Target for Black Friday. It’s one of the best games on Nintendo Switch, and the sequel to Breath of the Wild introduces novel areas to explore in the clouds and depths below the surface, offering what feels like a completely novel take on Hyrule.
It begins a year after Breath of the Wild. One day while exploring Hyrule Castle, Princess Zelda and Link discover a mummy that comes to life, destroying the Master Sword and injuring Link. When he wakes up, Link finds himself on the Great Sky Island, one of many floating islands in the sky. Here, many secrets of the archaic Zonai tribe are revealed.
What we said in our review
In our 10/10 review, we said that Tears of the Kingdom “is an unfathomable sequel to one of the best games ever made, somehow improving it in almost every way – whether through simple quality of life improvements, a truly exciting story, or an incredibly creative new building mechanics that will make you rethink what’s possible.
It both renovates old terrain and introduces new, expansive areas so vast that it somehow makes me wonder if Breath of the Wild was actually that big, with an almost alarming number of quests to complete, secrets to discover discoveries and wonderful distractions that keep you from ever getting to where you naively thought you were going. “Nintendo continued its triumph with triumph, expanding and expanding a world that already seemed full beyond expectations, and raising the bar higher and higher to the clouds.”
More Black Friday game deals we’ve found so far
Actual date Black Friday in 2024 it falls on November 29but the holiday deal season starts much earlier. Many retailers have already abandoned online offers.
Leading up to the event, more and more deals will be released, culminating in massive Black Friday discounts. Retailers won’t reveal their biggest Black Friday deals until the big day, but most general deals, like Sonic’s impressive deal, will be available well in advance.
