  • Quickly narrow down your pool of letters with tactical second guessing.
  • Watch out for letters that appear more than once in the answer.

Wordle gives you six rows of five boxes every day and you have to figure out which secret five-letter word is hiding inside them to keep your winning streak going.

You should Start with a sturdy word Like rise or any other word that contains a good mix of common consonants and many vowels. You’ll also want to avoid starting words with repeated letters because you’re wasting the opportunity to potentially eliminate or confirm an extra letter. When you press Enter you will see which ones you are right or wrong. If the box turns ⬛️, it means the letter is not in the secret word at all. 🟨 means the letter is in the word but not in that position. 🟩 means you have the right letter in the right place.

The second guess should be to complete the initial word, using another “good” word to cover any common letters you have recently missed, and also trying to avoid any letter you now know is not present in today’s answer. With any luck you should have some colored squares to work with and set you on the right path.

Then it’s just a case of using what you’ve learned to narrow down the guess to the right word. You have six tries in total and you can only exploit real words (so no filling in the eeee boxes to see if there’s an E). Don’t forget that letters can also be repeated (e.g. Books).
