During my stay in PC Gamer I had the pleasure to test very high-priced SIM equipment. This is not the start of this review from the glory to say that it is generally quite an high-priced hobby. Undoubtedly satisfying, but I would not blame you if you looked at some of the full SIM configurations on the market and get amazing prices.
The problem is that it is tough to know if it is worth spending a lot of moolah on something that you may not enjoy, or maybe more accurately, may want to get closer from a more free perspective. Of course, economical chicks are available, but it is tough to find something useful for around $ 100, which can get a whistle – and give you an indicator if it is worth investing in some SIM equipment in the future.
Enter the range of T. Flight Hotas (hands on the throttle and stick). We had Hotas X Down as our best joystick for many moons, but it has passed some time since we had a novel model. Fortunately, there is a novel version in the block, the T.Flight Hotas One Microsoft Flight Simulator edition, built to support state-of-the-art Xbox (I PC, Natch) consoles for MSFS 2024. Of course, other games.
Everything for a very attractive price USD 110/90 £. This is about half of what you will pay for Logitech G X54 Hotas RGB, our best middle class selection, and the type of money you can spend if you are looking, or adjusting the flaps, barrel rolls and a lot of misleading acronym and initialisms were for you without breaking the bank.
Thrustmaster t.flight hotas one specific

You get an adjustable air stick with tension, a throttle control with built -in rear blades, lots of buttons, a single cap control of the hat mounted on the stick and the ability to divide the entire shebang in half on the desk.
Two halves can be attached together with two hexagonal screws (tightened with the support of a hexagonal key hidden under the throttle syndrome) or spread Akimbo thanks to a decent neighboring cable.
It’s also white. Very white. Putting aside my prejudices against white peripherals per second (oh, go on: they are almost impossible to keep immaculate), in general it is a rather handsome device. Considering this, there is something in a completely white finish, which makes economical plastic a bit cheaper-I suppose it fits the MSFS 2024 brand.
Yes, it’s a bit economical looking. And if I’m candid, a bit economical, especially when it comes to all these buttons. Those who are looking for satisfying strikes and clicks from the controls will be disappointed, but again I have to remember the price. It is starting equipment for a very reasonable IAS and as such I will say that they are not so bad.
However, the impression of the stick is really good. The voltage can be adapted under the base of the stick with an effortless -to -use shield, and as bulky it passed, I immediately turned them to the maximum. In this setting, it is not grave, but adds a level of resistance that makes it easier to make petite movements. In any case, at least for this reviewer.
The throttle action is also liquid, although I would like to see a similar effortless regulation here. It is a bit airy and similar to the toy in your movement, but it is still true.
Install the drivers, run MSFS 2024, and everything is recognized immediately. You would be surprised how many premium sticks make this process much more tough than it should, but the Thrustmaster set is really a plug and fun. It is also effortless to configure in DCS World, if any flight stick can be in the most common games.
When appearing around heaven in f/A-18e fighter, buzzing bridges and generally burdensome, I must say that it’s effortless to forget that I exploit the equipment budget. The stick’s movement is silky and quite true, and although the throttle control is definitely airy, the stroke is still satisfactory.
And although I would like the buttons less rationally, I must say that they are all very well placed. Even the clickable petite gluing of the hat is perfectly useful under coercion, which briefly looking at the scenery before I realized that I was falling towards Terra the company.
However, this is not all fun and crazy. At the beginning, connecting two halves together is not so effortless. There is a lever discharge mechanism that connects these two, but to remove the cable from the method to press it into the cut section inside the base.
Which would be fine if the cable was not so troublesome when connecting the controls. The cable is easily available, which allows you to disconnect both halves (technically you can do it with a screwdriver, but this is not a basic process), and then a combination of them would be a better solution. Or just bending the cable, to be candid.
Considering this, it is nice to be able to distribute controls for a more realistic character. However, once individual units are touch airy, and at the bottom there is a very petite rubber to stop them slipped.
Both halves together are a bulky set of a set to resist unwanted movement, but they divided them on Twain and tend to wander, which is frustrating when you try to dive Christ, the Redeemer.
Ask me how I know.
Buy if …
✅ You are looking for the first taste of Flight Stick Fun: The right SIM Flight equipment can be high-priced, so starting with something economical and cheerful, such as T.Flight Hotas One, makes sense.
✅ You have a very tight budget: This is very unlikely to find better for the cheaper, that’s for sure.
Don’t buy if …
❌ From the very beginning you are ready to spend: If you decided that sims flight are like, Your business, man Then you can lose some cash on something that is a bit more Premium, even as a starting stick.
Yes, there are some specific disadvantages to go to this entry point to Sim Flight. But what you get, for a fraction of cash other offers, is great fun. The Thrustmaster set focuses on providing three things-a delayed stick, a decent throttle control and many buttons options-all for the ultra budget price point. And in this undertaking it succeeds very much.
In addition, although this white plastic seems to mean with time, the whole configuration seems solid enough that I would say that he should withstand abuse without breaking out of repair. The basic plastic may not be the most premium things, but it is quite fat, so if you end up pulling it out of the desk at a time of panic-like panic, I think it will probably be fine.
Or, when you dig him out of the attic to give a friend after updating something more high-priced. This is the case in the Thrustmaster – it is about providing a solid starting point to a completely novel game arena for minimal expenditure. Yes, you can buy better, but on the void near this kind of cash. And this, my friends, makes it white in my book.
