The British independent programmer Bithell Games dropped the “majority” of full -time staff, just a few weeks after starting the game in the Tron loop: Catalyst, after he did not manage a modern project on a vast scale.
This boils down to 11 members of the team that was broken up, the boss of Bithell Games Mike Bithell announced today in statement Posted on social media and the uncertain future of what the studio will do next.
“It became clear that it led to the release of our latest game, that we were not resistant to challenges, which are faced by many teams of programmers looking for financing partners in 2024 and 2025.” Bithell wrote. “Fortunately, we were able to convey these challenges ahead of time and cooperate with the affected staff to alleviate the departure as much as possible through the check -in.”
Bithell Games previously worked on the throne: Identity, a mixture of mysterious games and a visual novel, which was proof of the concept for the studio to cooperate with Disney in his science fiction series.
Before these games, the studio found the fame of its tactical RPG John Wick Hex, after early success with independent beloves Thomas was alone and Tom.
“It is important to say that it was an amazing team of extremely talented people,” Bithell continued. “If you read it with a programmer and hire, each of the affected people would be a great addition to your studio. Contact this if we can help contact ourselves.
“This message will not affect the availability of our existing self -published games and continuous support for them.
