One year after Tomb Raider I-III Remastered collectionthree additional Lara Croft games will be updated with visual improvements and up-to-date features. Remastered Tomb Raider IV-VI will be available in February 2025 for $30.

The collection consists of vintages from 1999 Tomb Raider: The Final Revelation for the original PlayStation console from the 2000s Tomb Raider: Chroniclesand 2003 Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness for PS2. The remastered versions will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC and will feature a number of improvements such as:

  • Ability to switch between classic and contemporary graphics on the fly
  • Possibility of contemporary control or original tank-style movement
  • Photo mode with poses
  • Quality of life features such as boss health bars
  • Trophies and achievements on applicable platforms

While fans of the series and gamers who enjoyed this year’s remastered trilogy will no doubt be pleased to see all three sequels receive contemporary updates (some felt it was too uncomplicated), Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness will be a particularly captivating case. Development of the game was extremely arduous, with a lot of delays and a lot of cut content.

The game was praised for its story, but heavily criticized for its number of bugs and impoverished controls. Here’s how to do it Hades 2 designer and writer Greg Kasavin, who has written for GameSpot then, described the experience: “Actual gameplay Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness is often not fun at all, but can instead be frustrating, difficult and boring.”

This was the last one Tomb Raider The Core Design project ended before Crystal Dynamics took control. Fixing bugs and fixing control and camera issues could go a long way towards making this one of the better games in the series. We’ll find out when the up-to-date collection arrives on February 14.
