Goldman’s Eternal Life

This year’s broadcast began with the premiere of a brand fresh 2D platform adventure game from Weappy Studio, creators of This Is the Police.

Step into the shoes of Goldman and, with your trusty staff in hand, traverse a mysterious archipelago brought to life with meticulously crafted 2D animation. Every frame oozes with the passion the team has put into the game they always wanted to make.

A sense of wonder and freedom to experiment are at the heart of Weappy’s design philosophy, with a focus on rewarding players for their curiosity and platforming sections that are challenging but fair. Eternal Life of Goldman asks you to explore further into the archipelago, with each fresh skill and artifact you find adding fresh dimensions to your gameplay.

We can’t wait to share more details with you later this year – in the meantime, keep an eye on the game and wishlist it on the PlayStation Store to be among the first to receive updates.

Disney Epic Mickey: Remastered

It’s almost time to pick up a paintbrush and decide the fate of Wasteland! When Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed releases on September 24, the power to shape the world with paint and paint thinner will be in your hands.

Play as Mickey Mouse in a 3D action game as you explore a world filled with beloved characters to meet and secrets to uncover. Featuring classic side-scrolling levels inspired by the story of Mickey Mouse.

Rebuilt from the ground up by the team at Purple Lamp and available for the first time on PS5 and PS4, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a must-have for Disney fans of all ages, whether it’s their first foray into the Wasteland or a trip back in time.

Destruction 2

Create the tire-screeching car of your dreams, take it online, and smash it to pieces in the ultimate wrecking ball event. Whether you’re giving it your all to cross the finish line first, racing through obstacle courses, or crushing your rivals in a wrecking derby, Wreckfest 2 is all about letting loose in the ultimate playground of vehicular carnage.

The PS5 hardware gave the team at Bugbear Entertainment the freedom to model collisions with greater fidelity than ever before, with every impact causing chassis damage handled in real-time.

At the end of each event, your battered vehicle will tell its own unique story – one of swapped paint jobs, bent steel and fierce duels decided on the track.

Titan II Quest

Last year we announced Titan Quest II with a trailer that set the stage for a battle against the rogue goddess Nemesis and her hordes. Millions of views and thousands of comments later, we’re ready to show you more of the moneyed, verdant world the team at Grimlore Games has been strenuous at work bringing to life.

In our debut gameplay trailer, get a first look at the adventures that await you in the sun-drenched landscapes of old Greece, and the godlike powers you’ll gain as you take your place among the greatest heroes of legend. The team is handcrafting an experience that encourages you to take on the challenge, with epic battles with the beasts of myth rewarding players with unique loot that changes the way you play.

It’s your story to tell, with deep customization options—from your hero’s appearance to the combination of a wide range of customizable skills and gear. Whether you choose to embark on this odyssey alone or with friends, Titan Quest II will take you on an unforgettable journey through a land that is unmatched in the ARPG genre.

Gothic 1 Remake

Since the announcement of Gothic 1 Remake in 2020, the outpouring of support from Gothic fans worldwide, as well as the RPG community at vast, has been overwhelming. Every positive comment, every cry of “For Gomez!” has strengthened the team at Alkimia Interactive as they work to deliver a game that is both a faithful love letter to the Gothic fandom and a welcoming experience full of wonder and fresh discoveries for newcomers.

In today’s trailer, we got a closer look at how Alkimia is creating a world that’s an organism unto itself, with a blossoming ecosystem and powerful factions vying for dominance – a world that seems to exist outside of the player, yet is ripe for shaping through their decisions.

The visuals and gameplay have been completely rebuilt to meet state-of-the-art standards. Progression is more rewarding, combat has more impact, and NPCs and interactions are more diverse.

Whether you join the ore-rich Old Camp in cahoots with the King, the New Camp planning to destroy the magical barrier surrounding the Valley of Mines, or the Brotherhood of the Sleepers who place their faith in a mysterious fresh deity – the gloomy world of Gothic 1 Remake will soon be yours to discover.

The Hunter’s Path: Lintukoto Reserve

For the second year in a row, we released an expansion for Way of the Hunter on Digital Presenting Day.

While last year’s hunt took place in lush African grasslands, today’s version lets you explore a stunningly recreated Scandinavian landscape inhabited by lynx, Arctic foxes and many other unique wildlife, each with its own realistic behaviour.

Wander through immense magical forests that shimmer under the gentle rain, immense meadows teeming with life, and snow-capped hills that inspired the folklore of bygone eras. With every peaceful moment that passes in this fictional Scandinavian wilderness, so lovingly carved by the Nine Rocks Games team, your harmony with your surroundings increases.

Way of the Hunter: Lintukoto Reserve is now available on PS5.

A fresh story from Tarsier Studios

From the creators of Little Nightmares I & II comes a completely fresh vision, unlike anything you’ve seen before.

For more information, tune in to Gamescom Opening Night Live on Tuesday, August 20 at 11am PST/8pm CET.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a complete THQ Nordic Digital Showcase without one more thing to make you joyful at the end of the broadcast…

The Future of Darksiders

The ominous roar of a chamber impossibly elderly. Burning ash suspended in the air, thrown up by swirling lava.

Three colossal stone heads, suddenly set alight by unearthly flames. The Council of the Burnt Council awakens and roars a single word in unison: Rider.

We’ll have more information on the future of the Darksiders universe soon, but for now, know this… The Four Horsemen will ride once again.

That’s it for THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2024! From all of us at THQ Nordic, as well as our development partners around the world, thank you so much for joining us. We can’t wait to share more about each of these titles with you in the near future and see you soon in our digital worlds.
