Warning: spoilers for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree ahead.
Sure, before we go any further, make sure you’ve heeded the warning above. The data miners who delve into every detail of FromSoft’s games have inevitably begun digging into the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring. And, just in time, they’ve dug up and recreated an additional cutscene for you.
In many ways, these dataminers are a bit like the people who paste DLC bosses in increasingly grandiose ways. Artists who, instead of painting canvases of what happens if Messmer upsets someone with a dance mat, pull out a paintbrush and say “here’s something that might have been planned for the game at some point, we assume.” A passionate Jackson Pollock with a paralyzing addiction to show and tell.

Anyway, here’s what they did. This is a group led by Dubi’s axeand they managed to discover and restore dialogue in the fourth cutscene of The Tarnished series with St. Trina, which appears to take place/happen after you (warning above) killed Miquella.
As you can see in the video below, where the fourth cutscene plays directly after the game’s first three – in case you need to catch up. It only lasts about twenty seconds and features Trina engaging in ASMR while whispering against a black background – just like the first three people do.
So what is the purple lady talking about? Well, she says “thank you” to The Tarnished for killing Miquella, which is very nice of her, and then after a moment’s pause, she adds, “He will finally be free.” As Sekiro Dubi says, that’s pretty much it.
I’m definitely not the right person to go into what this might mean from a plot standpoint, but if I had to guess, I’d say that FromSoft’s potential decision not to include such a minor thing in the game could be because the developers didn’t want Miquella’s metaphysical fate to be as clear as is probably the case when someone tells you that you have set them free.
That said, this is an Elden Ring story, so who knows. Don’t expect dataminers to discover as much cut content in the DLC as they did in the base game, either, as Sekiro Dubi explained on Twitter that while there is some in it, “it just doesn’t have the big stuff like full NPC quests and the like.” There are little details here and there.”
