Hello, people. The weeks pass quickly and it’s time for The Wrapp again. In this installment, Shaun decides it’s time to kill Eminem, even though he’s a fan, while Catherine does her best to avoid social obligations by indulging in some roguelike fun. Elsewhere, Ivan plans to immerse himself in the brilliant Dead Cells while I take a boat out to do some cleaning.

It was a serene week, but overall uneventful. Still, the world of mobile adventures and challenges does not end and I have to keep an eye on it. With awards and presentations coming up, it has become an even bigger undertaking and I almost feel spoiled for choice. We also have our own awards to showcase and promote given the fantastic games we had this year.
But it’s also time for more indie releases to enter circulation, and thanks to Cat, I’ll be keeping an eye out Gorotsuki’s Paradise for building a deck of cards on the go.

Like Will, I’ll also be exploring an indie card game this weekend, but with corrupt gods, arcane spells, and plenty of roguelike-style replayability to keep me busy. December means chaos when it comes to dealing with the outdoors, and social responsibilities are piling up, forcing me to leave the house with each passing day. For now, though, Sengodai keeps me at home – if only for a little longer.

I’m in a dilemma this weekend as I have two games calling for me. First of all, Warframe has released The Old Peace and I’m looking forward to 12-minute wars as Uriel. But alternatively, I still haven’t played to Eminem’s level in Hitman. And I love both Hitman and Eminem. Ultimately, however, there can only be one winner. Both are both, I will play both.

Surprise, surprise. I’m going to play something recent this week! This is because a recent freebie has appeared in the Epic Games Store in the form of Dead Cells. I absolutely love Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, but I think few people would deny that it has aged poorly in some places.
However, I like the roguelike mechanics in Dead Cells much more. So since it’s free, I’ll try it out this weekend and see how it goes. Oh, and don’t worry, the Arknights: Endfield announcement is just around the corner, just in time to find out when it finally hits shelves!

It’s getting really cool here, so I’m going to try to really get into the winter spirit by giving it a try Bread and Fred. It’s a co-operative platformer in which you play as a pair of penguins who climb and explore a frozen mountain – seemingly mostly by throwing each other around on a giant rope. Think of it as something between Ice Climbers and Celeste, but twice as cute (and definitely at least as frustrating).

Thanks to Dredge, I’m now tempted by anything that a diminutive boat does best. This is a strange change in my life, especially considering my fear of deep water. And now this strange recent obsession has made me want to play Spilled. This is a game where you remove all kinds of disgusting things in the ocean and also save cute animals. That sounds like a worthy cause to me!
Elsewhere, I’m tweaking our list of the best Netflix games because it needed some love. And when you do this kind of task, you invariably want to play Into the Breach. While I’m not the smartest person in the world, I feel like a strategist when it comes to this particular indie game. Successfully watching my giant bug-destroying plans go as intended is an endless pleasure, and I can’t wait to pilot my giant mechs again.
