In the latest This Week in Destiny article, Bungie revealed that Destiny 2 players will be able to take part in a chilly Sword event that provides regenerating ammo to facilitate them keep on striking endlessly. The event will run from September 3 to September 10, 2024.
All week long, all Swords in the Heavy Ammo slot will regenerate ammo in Seasonal Activities, Strikes, Nightfalls, Gambit, Legend, and Master Lost Sectors, and the Crucible’s Relic game mode. This means you’ll be able to equip a Sword in your Heavy slot and jump into any of the aforementioned activities with what amounts to infinite ammo. Whenever you run out of ammo, you can simply hide and wait for it to regenerate enough for you to come back and make an impression.
Sword ammo for everyone
This is the event with the Sword in Destiny 2 a modern set of seasonal challenges will appear, centered around using Swords in various in-game activities. With Swords regenerating ammo, it’s also a great time to get through these modern challenges and finally tackle the ones that have been hanging around for the past 12 weeks.
At this point in the season, I’ve managed to get to 100 in the Season Pass just by playing story content and Specimen quests. Even halfway through the Season Pass, I still have a ton of Season Challenges for activities like Gambit and Crucible to complete, and Sword Week is the perfect excuse to do so. Each one rewards a huge chunk of Season Experience to facilitate you earn everything that’s available. There are some really lovely armor ornaments in this Season Pass, which are the main reason I’ll be grinding.
However, the break between Echoes Act II and Act III brought a wave of layoffs at Bungie, which killed a lot of my enthusiasm for the game Destiny 2and caused many players to move to Warframe.
This Sword event could be the game’s saving grace in the finale of its first episode. Bungie has two more episodes planned for the rest of the year, and their content is uncertain. Provided that the story in Act III, combined with events like this one, can rekindle the fire many of us felt for Destiny 2 At the beginning of this year we could all finish at least this episode on a high note.
